Taking ANOTHER page from the Bush/Cheney administration, the Obama white house is abusing executive privilege, taking the claim to insanely unreasonable levels.

The white house (note absence of caps) has claimed executive privilege, preventing the social secretary Desiree Rogers from testifying before the House Homeland Security Committee,which is investigating the crashing of the state dinner, by the Salahis.


This is a brazen attempt to solidify the excessive claims of the Bush administration to prevent any exposure of its staff. It was one level of hubris to claim that White House counsels and advisors were exempt. That pushed new limits which a failed congress permitted, allowing the imperial presidency to expand it's powers.

This new claim for executive privilege is an outrage and must be challenged by congress. Unfortunately, the congress has allowed itself to become a weak, ineffective body. Thank Nancy Pelosi for that.
