Enter The Sunlight

"All you umpires, back to the bleachers. Referees, hit the showers. It's my game. I pitch, I hit, I catch. I run the bases. At sunset, I've won or lost. At sunrise, I'm out again, giving it the old try."- Ray Bradbury quotes

The neoconservative devilution is over. Like all failed ideologies based on greed and propaganda, it is falling from the grid. The neoconservative pipe-dream is spending its last hours under the heel of a hockey mom. How appropriate for the tattletails.

The rain of school yard bullies, the cats and dogs of discord, is over. A new sun rises on America. The graven images of excess, reigning over these failed demi-gods have wilted under the light. They sacrificed American honor and Americas' best sons and daughters upon their altars of contempt until the blood got too deep and it swallowed them up.

They have raped the fair-haired damsel of commerce and are attempting to steal her riches. They can not escape the light.. Failed banks and unregulated avarice are their legacy. "Blame someone else" is all they can say.

They forgot, America loves its damsel, loves its honor, and cherishes its  sons and daughters, lied to and left unprotected by failed minions of a failed White House. These little men with big ideas, gleaned from the sad and cynical writing of Machiavelli, have become toads boiling in their own water. These self absorbed "Princes" are choking on the very words they fed a trusting public for 8 torturous years.

I say faretheewell, usurpers--your time is over. The slurs and slanders you bring to the table have been tasted and rejected. The lust for power, only the weak embraces, has been your doom.

The devilution was doomed to failure before it began. Your propaganda tide of demonization has become an undertow and it is sweeping your wornout ideas and excuses for greed, out to sea. The "hockey mom" will be your anchor.

The namecalling and fearmongering falls on deaf ears. Your high pitched shrill and the softsell of disguised hate is like an open sore that will not heal. It has pained America for 8 long years and will no longer be tolerated by those who still carry the Dream within their hearts.

Sunlight will heal the wound. America has always turned to the sunlight and denied the storm clouds of division.

p.s. The vote is the antidote.

Remission

Mr. P., I say this with respect, from one old partisan fighter to another,(I joined the struggle in the 60s)

I stll believe in the Dream hatched in the turmoil of 1776. I still see America as the best Hope for a better world. I agree that all voices must be heard through the din of the military industrial noise machine that we the people have allowed to prosper.

In Remission is where the neocons are going.(How long is up to us).

What would you have me do? Discard my vote?

Limited as the choices seem to some, I see Obama as changing the environment, which will allow third parties to thrive. Call me naive, but I see the promise restored. I still have the "faith".

I am willing to listen.
