Dear Charlie,
I know you are not with us anymore, I just thought since you are an important person, you might look around and send someone to give me some suggestions or advice. I do not need money or man power, there are plenty of both. I need someone who would listen for a few minutes. You know the place I am talking about, it is Iran. I know that you know the area well, but I just wanted to make sure that you do not end up in one of the capitals of our peaceful neighborhood.
Charlie, hear me out. I have had it with these Ayatollahs. I know you do not like them either, but this crap is getting out of hand. They have been plundering the country for thirty years. Some of the things they have robbed are irreversible. They stole ten truck loads of antiques from the Golestan castle, when even our worst enemy would not dare to do that.
They turned the country back to the middle ages. They brought the laws of the Old Testament back. Ayatollah Shahroudy the chief of judiciary said: "Iranian prisons are worse than Abughoreib". As if all this killing and stealing was not enough, now they are killing our own kids and their own people. They look directly into your eye and lie like hell, they blame their crimes on Mosad, MI6, CIA, KGB, NBC, ABC and CBS.
We made a bad error when we trusted Khomeini's promises thirty years ago. When he said, "clergy is above politics and that mosque and politics are separated". We did not know that eighty year old clergymen lie too. Right off the bat he hung one of my friends from a crane and let his body hang up there for three days. Then he used the hostage crisis and he killed all seculars, liberals and socialists. The SOB even trashed his friend Ayatollah Shariatmadari who had saved his life several times and ignited the revolution for the shah's people insulting him. He chased all people with a brain out of the country. There are seven million Iranians wondering around the world. There are more Iranian scientists in the US than there are in Iran.
He put a kind of theocracy in power that was never applied or mentioned in the Quran. He extended the war with Iraq for six years so that he could become the caliph of the world, causing hundreds of thousands of deaths and the wasting of billions of dollars. He was so warped he sent a letter to Gorbachov, inviting him to become a Muslim.
He caused a lot of harm, and we were mistaken, but he is dead now, and we have to deal with his students, who are worse than him. They kill people for sport. They kill in the streets, and arrest people by the bushel. They torture and rape people in notorious prisons of "Evin, Gohar Dasht, Adel Abad and Kahrizak". People are fed up, but they cannot do anything. Even the main Ayatollahs of the country do not like them. There are nine grand Ayatollahs in Iran and only one of them supports the government. The other eight are keeping it quiet, because they will be trashed or become a victim of an unfortunate explosion. Their leader Mohamed Khamenehee is not even an Ayatollah; he is prescribing medicine without a license. Nobody dares to put up a real fight because Khamenehee's mercenaries have the guns, training and money. The people have their family to feed, poverty to deal with and debts.
The environment in Iran is suffocating .We need help, but there is no help. The Russians want to grab a few more pieces of Iran. The Chinese are only interested in oil. American conservatives want to bomb us back to the Stone Age and some of the liberals think that this is all a figment of our imagination. They believe that the whole thing is just some horse sh#t orchestrated by the CIA.
The rest of the world has forgotten us. As long as they get their oil, they are happy. So I have given up on the living and instead, I thought I would send a letter to you. Maybe you can help me out. I have some ideas, but nobody wants to hear it. Please do not fail me. You are the only one I got.
