They both are. Each uses the other as justification for imposing a tyrannical regime onto you and everybody else. If you are an American and you value your Liberty, I don’t care what side of the phony political spectrum you currently occupy.
STAND UP!!
An executive order only becomes law if Congress doesn’t overturn it within thirty days after it is published in the Federal Register.
You can still prevent this order from becoming law - and I mean YOU! Not the guy next to you, not your representative in Congress. YOU must act NOW - or it’s all too late.
Call your two Senators. Call your Congressman. RAISE HELL! (but for God’s sake, don’t go out into the streets and smash in store windows and get into a tussle with cops to vent your frustration). That would deliver the perfect excuse for Bush to take your stuff away from you, or to have you arrested as a “terrorist” under the Military Commissions Act.
This is your last chance. If this one slips by you, it’s all over.
One last point that I can’t resist making: If you trust any candidate for president in 2008 to voluntarily rescind this order after he or she becomes president, you ought to have your head examined. They all love the power it gives them. Only Ron Paul will actually do it - and deep in your gut you know that is true!
Alex Wallenwein, J.D., is a former attorney in Houston, Texas, and a grass-roots activist for the rule of law and American liberty. He organizes the Houston 4 Ron Paul 2008 Meetup.
We do not lawfully own our property in the first place. So really, what are they depriving us of, our privilege of possessing an international banker's property? Remember: possession is not ownership of property. Don't forget that 1/10th of the law retains property rights!
Two, the office of "US Citizen" never had constitutionally protected rights. The order does not apply to flesh and blood citizens of the several states who know how to remedy to their human state.
Read the order. It does not refer to "Man", "Women" or "People".
It applies to an "individual entity" or the commercial straw man created by your birth certificate.
It applies to a "person" or a mask an actor wears, again, another office.
It basically applies to any fool who willfully submits to this nonsense.
The trick is learning how one stops voluntarily placing their human body in an office where this order applies. The rules apply to an office and the default state is the assumption that we are in office unless we declare otherwise.
It doesn't make one whiff of a difference who or what you say this executive order applies to or doesn't apply to.
The government will take your stuff away from you and bar you access to it if the Secretary "determines" that you "pose a significant risk" of committing a violent act that may negatively impact the Iraq war effort. They don't give a rat's ass whether you claim to be a "flesh and blood human" or not. Please spare us this nonsense!

I realize these folks scare you but I am already a slave and since we have been using "legal tender" that will not allow us to lawfully transfer ownership of property then my property has already been confiscated before I was born. I am sick of pretending that this garbage they foist on us is actually ours. They charge 300-400K for a worthless cardboard firetrap and leave us to eat their poisoned food. The blame us for our lifestyle choices because we are force to eat garbage.
They can proclaim all they want! I learned the secret that they have been hiding from us and I am getting sick of alarmists who refuse to look behind the curtain and realize these insects have no power. This nonsense is meant to scare people into submission so they bend over, of their own free will! These infectious colostomy bags, "who think they rule" have no real power in this place and they know it! They have only lies and deceit and can make examples only of reprobates like themselves or the meek and spineless that go all rubbery when they see a uniform.
I will not fear these reprobates. If they want to commit their crimes then so be it. They must know if they violate me, it is not a "US Citizen", they are violating it is a human being. Those at the top know the difference I assure you.
You can live in fear of these twisted soggy butt nuggets if you want. I refuse to live in fear. It is the old "liberty versus death" thing. I must resist, as I cannot allow myself, like the ones who came before, to be a coward in the face of a criminal and immoral vermin. They will have to take my life. I refuse to offer it to them willingly.
Do I make myself clear?!!!
Cheers,
Roage

Congress's subpoenas or Congress authority...so, why the hell should Congress pay any attention what so ever to Bush's "Executive Orders"? Also try and remember that Bush lost in 2000, (the Supreme Court appointed him, Scalia should be impeached) and there is a huge amount of evidence that the 2004 election was stolen...see: "caging the vote" (and that is exactly why BushCo refuses to cooperate with Congress on the U.S.Attorney firings, "siting executive privilege"...the proof of that stolen election is in that Congressional investigation and BushCo is doing every thing with in their "power" to stop that, (because Bush is not the legitimate President and they know it) investigation..dead...obstruction of justice

Executive order will live whether Bush is in power or not. It is a mechansim. Dictatorships are executed by two entities_ mechanisms and cadres. First you establish a framework ( Patriot Act, Homeland SS, Executive Orders, Military Comissions, etc) and then you populate it with people you cultivate- you lure them by money, privileges, power, lust, perversions, etc. If you see a mechanism built right in front of your eyes you have to scream the bloody murder. That's what Mr. Wallenwein is doing and he is correct.
Of course, Congress will not do anything. THEY DO NOT DO ANYTHING! But at least people will know.

Their only tool is fear and it seems to be working. Be fearful and see where it will get you. Mine will be a merciful fate. That is if I actually believed in fate, or luck for that matter.
The entire internet is filled with alarmist and doomsday prognosticators that offer no solution because they do not have one. They would have you think that one must die for their freedom. What a scam. Idiots have been falling for that one and running away for thousands of years. They have no solution to offer except violence and impotent protest.
The plain fact is they don't know what to do so why do people continue to listen and take this drivel as gospel?
It is because thay are too lazy to look in the mirror or look around at the world and devote a little time to understanding what this place is.
They sit there and are spoonfed reality by criminals that can't speak the truth.
Who is the criminal the one who spouts lies or the one that accepts it without question?
He [God] does not play dice with the universe.
Feeling lucky? If so you are in the wrong jurisdiction.
The game is to destroy your confidence in your own empowerment. They have already won if you simply fold without a whimper!

We are now considered enemy combtants. Every one of us is arrestable. All of our property is seizable. The dub has done this with full knowledge. The way this pans out is, we are dissidents. We are speaking out against the government. We are known entities. They have our I.P addresses. They can tap our phones. They can intercept our emails. We can be arrested. They have secret internment camps built all over the place already. The Congress will continue to do nothing. When they pull their next 9/11 martial law will be instituted and the elections will seize. 2012 isn't THAT far away. 1984 is already here.
Make sure that you have contingency plans in place for this to hit the media if you should mysteriously vanish. I suggest you establish a contact who will inform the various alternative news outlets like TruthOut, MoveOn, OpEdNews, Huffington Post, Alternet, and whomever else you may find or prefer.
This could get pretty rough my friends. This has NOT come as a surprise, don't let the next one catch you off guard.
This new encyclical was handed out to the Ameircan public by FOX NEWS! and by a disinformation agent before it made it to tk muckracker .. thus, I scratched MY head in disbelief. The fact that Sorcha Faal/David Booth is all over it is going to make some ignore it, especially as "her" interpretation is being bandied about as some DEFINING statement about it. These Armegeddon people have done just about enough damage on the internet and many of us KNOW that.
Our headlines today in Canada are about the new rules regarding torture and in the subhead the point is made that "they" are playing fast and loose with legalese there, too.
This EO is just *too* vague to make a judgment call on it yet. Sorcha Faal's involvement made me want to make sure my chain isn't being jerked and I do not wish to fall into some crippling inability to think for myself -- relying on someone's (highly suspect) interpretations. I mentioned this in my OpEdNews item/ after having days to think rationally about it.
We've all been in grief -- not just watching the demise of empire, or democracy, or the Constitution, but of INTEGRITY - for seven years, and no one's reaction surprises me anymore.
No one has LESS integrity than Sorcha Faal or the internet trolls who are taking $50/100 a pop from rePUGS to screw up the progressive lists ... they are today's form of collaborationists ..

Don't you realize that none of that was comforting? We Americans can't receive a message like yours, even if it is correct, even if it is important - because we admire hope and positive thinking, and that's what we expect now, more than ever.
[sarcasm on:] Don't be such a pessimist. Be constructive! Don't just complain. What's your solution? If you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem. Sign a petition. Call Bush a crook. There, that's better. That helped. [sarcasm off]
Power comes from being right (i.e., from knowledge), not from being positive. There is a time to whistle in the dark, and a time to face fearful things face on.

Why Won't You Listen? I'm Telling the TRUTH and can prove it
For the last time people this is not a War, this is an Occupation. By calling it a War you empower them/you give them all sorts of powers against you.
There is a huge difference between speaking out against a War and speaking out against an occupation. {Not that there should be.)
You people are mis-using the English language; There can be no debate on this - Websters and every other dictionary on the planet agrees with me.
I am right here. I am speaking a FACT. And each and every darn one of you knows this. So what's wrong with you? Seriously, really, honestly - why are you misusing such important terms? And where are all the English nannies that used to scream bloody murder when even a petty word was mis-used? doggone it, I'd really like to know what's going on here - What is wrong with you people?
below is from my blog:
A Needed Vocabulary Lesson for Both the Democrats and the Evil Republicans Thursday, November 2nd, 2006
This is not a war. This is an ongoing occupation.
From Websters:
WAR: "a (1) : a state of usually open and declared armed hostile conflict between states or nations: URL: http://tinyurl.com/yjz97q
Occupation: This is a long definition. Please go direct to the Websters site. http://tinyurl.com/yexu7s
The war was over years ago.
Please, I beg of you. I have just given you undeniable proof that this is an occupation and not a war. Please, won't you agree to use the correct terms?

And just what changes if somebody utters the word "occupation" rather than "war"? Does it end sooner? Is there less carnage or waste?
You speak as if some atrocity is being committed by using the word "war". I can't see why you care. I don't. So let's call it an occupation. Better? Now put your dictionary away, and thank you.
-----
This is the kind of thing that Americans are doing in response to a clear and present danger mounting quickly before them: quibbling over nomenclature.
I think that it's fairly clear that the American people are not going to get their country back given that we/they haven't settled the issue of what to call the quagmire, let alone begun organizing a response. Just look at the American left. Still looking? Yeah, me, too.
I've been visiting sites like OpEdNews and Alternet for several years, both reading and posting there, and I can tell you that the American people, even the American left, are no closer to solving their problems than they were five years ago, with the possible exception that there are more willing to call the neocons criminals and liars (recall, that was a stumbling block for years: the "L"-word).
So what? Congratulations, geniuses. That only took two-thirds of a decade. What was the clue? The torture? The decimation of the Constitution and Bill of Rights? Escalting the war right in your faces? The Scooter Libby commutation (in your faces)?
Darwin called and left a message: it's survival of the "fittest", not "fattest", This culture is clearly on the fast track to fascism. It has no defense against it, and I don't think the neocons are bluffing. So, I'd say, get ready for it, or go elsewhere.
By now, everyone knows that you can boil a frog in a beaker of water without him ever even trying to hop out if you heat it slowly enough. Sound familiar? Look around you. Ribbit!! It's getting pretty hot in here.
It's pretty clear that standing with the American people is going to be a losing strategy. They haven't gotten anything right in a long time, and they are no longer intellectually or philosophically capable of self-governance.
They are essentially a herd now, capable of two states only: blissful ignorance and chaotic stampede. Right now, they're grazing, as the neocon wolf pack circles them with new antidemocratic legislation (see above) and physical infrastructure (detention camps, walls, mercenaries and paramilitary police forces). Once inside, you can debate whether to call it a war on America, or an occupation of it.
Look, have a good life whatever you do. We're each on our own. There is no "us" any more, just a "them". And they're threatening us - those smart enough to notice, anyway. Good luck with whatever you choose, even if that choice is to do nothing but read and post opinions, and to give money and sign petitions (i.e., wait for the neocons).

is that's it is not possible to win an occupation, an occupation after this long is illegal, many actions in war are not legal in an occupation, and there are other important differences.
People need to understand this because actions begin with thought, and the American people need to break through the propaganda.
You are a physician? Then here is an analogy: you can't administer proper treatment for swelling if you can't tell the difference between an infection and an allergic reaction, and knowing the proper term matters.
There actually has been progress over the last few years -- what was once assumed by most to be simply a 'reaction' to a terrorist attack is now mostly seen as an 'infection' -- the invasion of the body politic by pathogenic agents -- Bush, fascism, the neocons. It must be understood that the invasion and occupation of Iraq, is not a 'war' fought against armies -- or anyone for that matter -- who attacked the US, but rather part of a long term imperialistic program and policy. The goal in Iraq is not 'defeating an enemy' but taking over the country virtually as a colony.
Everyone should understand then that every time Bush talks about 'victory' he is lying, and that's something most people did not realize before. An ellergic raction might be treatable by just not doing anything -- just avoiding the allergen, but an infection probably needs to be treated agressively, as with antibiotics since often the body's own immune system is overwhelmed. Our country's 'immune system' -- the courts, the congress, the press, the rule of law, the ability to trust what the government says (more or less) have all been compromised and are not functioning. An 'antibiotic' -- the activation of the citizens -- is needed.
Not too bad of an analogy, I suppose -- but I hope you understand why terminolgy matters, and what part it plays in waking up the 'public mind', and getting people active.

Ron Paul scares the shit out of me - privatizing almost everything is insane - but I'd rather live in a country like that and be FREE - so yes, (unless something changes), If I vote, I will vote Ron Paul.
P.P.S. good article - and I hate to say this but I think that protesting wont do ya no good - bushco has too much power - nothing short of a revolt in congress or the military can stop them now. not that I'm condoning anything like that, mind you, I'm just trying to express how futile, worthless, and wasteful protesting is (when the mass-media won't cover it).

is a habit -- that's what we keep hearing. Yes, we need to make the effort to stop (A nanny would be convenient -- and she could make me tea too -- unless you volunteer to be a cyber-nanny and keep nagging people -- but then no tea...).
Persistance is important, even in protesting (however one does it): remember the big lie told over and over? That works for the truth too. It's the repetition -- it's the way the brain works.

this EO, being enacted in the same moment in time as the Order for covert CIA prisons to fall under the auspices of the 'Geneva Convention'
the western world leadership is presenting us with the 'roadmap', it is up to us to read it.

I found Sec. 4 and Sec. 5 especially scary. I think they say that if you make a contribution of money, goods, or services to some entity that Bush et al say is a bad actor, it is not a defense to say that he had not named them as such before you made the contribution. He doesn't have to have done so.
So...if they come to arrest you, they don't have to allege that you knew Bush had placed your recipient on his shit list.

I finally figured it out - you no longer represent the Left anymore.
Remember the Hippies, the communes, living off the Earth? You were supposed to renounce all ties to (corporate) society and live off of what you grew and traded.
Except something happened, and you now live the way those you opposed did. You now have your second home, your retirement, your cars and all your toys. Only you do not admit you have become the enemy you used to hate, and that is why you so rabidly denounce them every chance you get.
Where are all the war protestors? Why did you let Cindy Sheehan down? Deep down, you secretly approve of your favorite enemy, George W. Bush. You approve of him when you shop at Wal-Mart - the world's biggest corporation which supports slave labor. You approve of him when you go in debt over toys and appliances you would have labelled bourgeosie back during the Viet Nam War.
The answer is simple - oppose Bush. Get a brain. Sell your house and live in a commune and grow your own food. Sell your SUV and purchase solar and wind energy.
