Obama says, in the debate, "We could be sliding into an extraordinary recession unless we stimulate the economy immediately."

Well, yes. But the tax rebates won't do it. People have already said they'll sock it away or pay bills. Only 17 said they'd just spend it. Want to get out $150 million? Then you'll have to give out close to a trillion in tax rebates.

Hillary finally mentions the global market disaster that happened today. She talks about hiring people to move towards a green economy. I have to give her credit. Obama and Edwards had their chance and they didn't say anything. Clinton was on it first.
