Even more horrifying than the film, is that it has received almost no mention in the mainstream media. A Google search turned up only two reviews, in the New York Times and on TUC Radio. The Times, of course, makes no mention whatsoever of the film's efforts to highlight the immense nuclear waste problem (250,000 tons). Instead the reviewer focuses on the "widely speculative" debate over how to mark Onkalo to warn future generations. I guess he prefers Obama's solution to the nuclear waste problem: denial and pretending it doesn't exist. Obama has recently authorized billions of dollars of taxpayer funded subsidies to build new nuclear reactors.

For me, the real horror story is the callous sociopathy of a world leaders like Obama, who clearly cares very little about the effect of his nuclear policies on his own children and grandchildren.

TUC Radio (www.tucradio.org) has devoted three programs to Onkalo, including a discussion between Into Eternity director Michael Madsen and Australian antinuclear activist Dr Helen Caldicott. You can download them free at the TUC Radio website.
