So they say things like: Obama killed a lot of ISIS leaders.
As if that was the important point, instead of half of Syria becoming a terrorist wonderland with half a million dead and thousands of radical fighters returning to their home countries to slaughter thousands of innocent Westerners. Those attacks, such as the spree in Nice, provide endless justification for more war, more invasion, more bombing.
Since the White House publicizes this targeted-assassination propaganda it must be the crucial part of the story. We're supposedly winning even though humanity is losing in a big way.
I've already made this lengthy case, of course. The US actions in Syria betrayed its lies. The Russians, who are the ultimate target of this Syria campaign, as in Obama's other covert destabilization in Ukraine, have exposed the White House time and again. The US refused to bomb the long lines of ISIS oil tankers providing the money for their Caliphate and enriching Erdogan's own son in the process.
The US imperial plan has been to kick the Russians out of its Mediterranean naval base and its Syrian air bases. It is Empire 101, an attack on Russia's allies in order to weaken Russia, a seamless continuation of the rollback, which began in 1979. But the American people don't understand how that game is played, and indeed they remain ignorant of why their country acts around the world at all.
Such ignorance is probably to be expected among most of the population, but those over at Mother Jones style themselves as informed intellectuals. Most are clearly not, as a political party's talking point cannot be considered true knowledge about a situation. But the pseudo-intellectuals cannot tell the difference, or perhaps they just don't want to. By accepting responsibility for Barack Obama's crime spree this would make them culpable as well for supporting him. Thus, Democrats, and their loyal voters, remain half of the problem.
Lastly, the Mother Jones crowd types passionately about George Bush but ignores the fact that it was Democrat Nancy Pelosi who decreed: "Impeachment is off the table." The Democrats, and later Barack Obama as President, protected everything that Bush/Cheney did. We witnessed a protection racket, a criminal system of protecting war criminals from prosecution and the acceptance of an imperial model, where expansion, destabilization, and Crimes Against the Peace are normalized.
Fascism.
