Thanks to the Supreme Court, the task of reviving democratic politics has just become vastly more difficult.
In his book, published posthumously in 1995, social commentator Alex Carey wrote, "The twentieth century has been characterized by three developments of great political importance: the growth of democracy, the growth of corporate power, and the growth of corporate propaganda as a means of protecting corporate power against democracy."
He should see us now.
