Me: "Grandpa, do you mind if my brothers and me put a saddle on old Star and take him out along the east pasture for a few hours? We wanna go simmin' and it's too far to walk on a hot day like today."

My Grandfather: "Son, I'd even help you saddle him up and all, but I think it's better we leave old Star right where he is 'cause he's an old horse and he's carried more than his fair share of weight. I'd sure hate to see you youngins ride that old horse into the ground."

Propaganda, Misinformation & People who just don't get it.

Propaganda defined : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda

Models of Propaganda / Herman & Chomsky's Model;

The propaganda model is a theory advanced by Edward S. Herman and Noam Chomsky that alleges systemic biases in the mass media and seeks to explain them in terms of structural economic causes.

 "The 20th century has been characterized by three developments of great political importance: the growth of democracy, the growth of corporate power, and the growth of corporate propaganda as a means of protecting corporate power against democracy."

First presented in their 1988 book Manufacturing Consent: the Political Economy of the Mass Media, the propaganda model views the private media as businesses selling a product — readers and audiences (rather than news) — to other businesses (advertisers). The theory postulates five general classes of "filters" that determine the type of news that is presented in news media: Ownership of the medium; Medium's funding sources; Sourcing ; Flak ; and Anti-communist ideology.

The first three (ownership, funding, and sourcing) are generally regarded by the authors as being the most important. Although the model was based mainly on the characterization of United States media, Chomsky and Herman believe the theory is equally applicable to any country that shares the basic economic structure and organizing principles which the model postulates as the cause of media biases. After the disintegration of the Soviet Union, Chomsky stated that the new filter replacing communism would be terrorism and Islam.

Misinformation defined : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misinformation

Misinformation is information that is always correct, but not because of a deliberate attempt to actually tell the truth. Believers in misinformation are said to be poor liars. It is commonly confused with disinformation. The spreading of dis-information is a purposeful attempt to spread a known falsehood, and failing miserably, whereas mis-information is the result of uncreativity and the inability to tell a decent lie.

Often, misinformation comes from sources that may not be very careful with their fabrication, or have poor acting skills. They may not have picked out decent roles and may even have interpreted a white lie correctly. Overall, this leads to people confusing fiction with fact and can be fairly troublesome at some times.

Last but not least : People who just don't get it.

Denial defined ; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial

Denial of fact: This form of denial is where someone avoids a fact by lying. This lying can take the form of an outright falsehood (commission), leaving out certain details in order to tailor a story (omission), or by falsely agreeing to something (assent, also referred to as "yesing" behavior). Someone who is in denial of fact is typically using lies in order to avoid facts that they think may be potentially painful to themselves or others.

snip snip

Denial of denial: This can be a difficult concept for many people to identify in themselves, but is a major barrier to changing hurtful behaviors. Denial of denial involves thoughts, actions and behaviors which bolster confidence that nothing needs to be changed in one's personal behavior. This form of denial typically overlaps with all of the other forms of denial, but involves more self-delusion.

From one of my old haunts;
"The attacks of 9/11 were so unthinkable that most Americans would refuse to believe the complicity of their own government, even if presented with a mountain of evidence. Very simply, it is possible to escape blame if you do something that nobody in the world believes you could do."

http://www.tvnewslies.org/html/refusing_the_9_11_evidence.html

Click on that link and read what Jesse has to say about "Why Americans refuse to believe the 9/11 evidence".

Before you complain about being subjected to another round of information overload, ask yourself if you've gathered enough information to be able to form an opinion of your own...in regards to 9/11. If this is too much for you, just  ask yourself if your opinion is truly your opinion or if it could be a mirroring of what MSM and the US Govt. has been telling us since that day. The easist way out of this maze is for one to grab hold of what someone else is saying and to run with that. I'm a fan of laziness but not to the point where I would take our Govt.'s word for what went down. Would you ? After all the lies they've told us in the past ? Can we expect the Govt. to ever tell us the truth, the whole truth an nothing but the truth ? Not really. This is why it is our duty to research 9/11 and not just lay back and eat the shit they and their MSM is feeding us ON A DAILY BASIS since 11 Sept. 2001.

But the ayes have it, we're one huge heep of bloody idiots who refuse to do our duty (research and form an opinion of our own). We're lazy as all get out and we just can't take it when people point a stinky finger at  us, our family, our state (of denial!) or our Government. We are collectively in a state of ....not not Kentucky. School books tell us there are 50 states. I say there are 51 and I'm not referring to Puerto Rico. That 51st state is the one with the most inhabitants. Mary e.g. (no particular Mary) lives in Texas and Mary is in a state of denial. Another example : Mark lives in California and is in a state of denial. Ain't that great ! Two for the price of one !

Didn't this start out to be a story about an old horse ? So where's the horse, Mr. Author ? "One old horse, comin' up!" yelled the New York Deli worker.

But before we go out to the south pasture where old Star used to live, let us focus on the information presented above. Propaganda is intentionally distributed. Misinformation may or may not be. Disinformation is. At any rate, an intentional repetition of something other than the facts can be seen as an intentional distribution of lies. Remember what our Commander-in-Chief said : "ya gotta keep on repeatin' stuff over and over again in order ta catapult the PROPAGANDA". I should be using quotation marks there 'cause it's straight from my memory and that's a selective kinda memory (so more stuff can fit in my pea-sized brain). Conclusion : some people
or authors (even here on this humble website) are guilty of one or more of the following ;

1) the spreading of US Govt. initiated propaganda

Many thanks go to our Editor here

for letting such a poorly written article go through at all. My next one will be better and with less typos, promised!

Regarding the URL our Editor has posted, by all means, please do go there and read what you find there. Information is information. Good and bad. First you gather info then you sift it. Out with the bad info, in stays the good. Rethinking one's position every now and then is another good idea. You get on your bike and you ride, but without looking back ....the journey is incomplete and only partially comprehended / digested. I don't know why I keep using metaphors like this....it must be the JayHawk in me.

From the URL the Editor mentioned ;

" Was our government complicit in the 9/11 attacks?

The PDF file linked to below is from Skeptics Magazine earlier this spring. It goes over all of the evidence in great detail. Anyone researching the topic must read this article before coming to any conclusions.

Personally, I think Bush and Cheney are far too incompetent to pull off anything like the conspiracy theorists propose. Instead, I think they just played the tragedy for all it was worth, and then a whole bunch more."

I've heard this one before. Many times as a fatter old Mack. As a so-called "9/11 truth seeker", and I really can't understand why anyone cannot belong to such a group seeing as the truth is still "out there somewhere" but it sure as get out ain't in the official report.

No, Dubya is not capable. I never went down that road. Dubya doesn't play a role in my 9/11 books. Cheney ? He sure does and I'll elaborate on that AFTER reading that article over at http://www.factinista.org/

peace & luv

Okay, I read the pdf

pdf files can be a pain in the buffer. This one is okay although the print quality lacks ; I printed it out and had it for dessert after a delicious portion of curry.

First off, we're looking at a very well written, well thought out article aimed at debunking the debunkers. This kind of article could.....guessing here...take up to one month's preperation ?? I wrote mine in less than one hour ...on the  side...as you can see. It' obvious so why try to hide it, I say.

I see a lot to nag about in that pdf. My print version has notes so I can elaborate on any part of that docu if anyone wishes. Be reminded, Curtis is not an expert at anything. Curtis is Curtis and he does not believe the official story. Having said that, I, Curtis, am not "THE" 9/11 truth movement in persona. I am me and I have MY opinion and my .....opinion. In this pdf artile, 9/11 truth seekers are corralled into one group...as if we were cattle.

"The 9/11 Truthseekers say .......believe....."

Wrongo, Bonzo. We are not "them". I am me and you are you.  I have to cut this short as it's closer to midnight here where I am than it is there where ....they let it happen on purpose (to say the least).

The pdf goes straight into details. I don't. Get the big picture and you can see ....cui bono. You can also see who the patsies were and why they did what they did.....under very tight surveillance of the FBI & the CIA. The pdf throws the truth seekers in one boat with Alex Jones. Of all people ! Is the author that naive ? Not to mention "Loose Change". It deliberately picks out the weakest spots in "the movement" and tries to spread that taint over the complete picture.

I'll have to take note of this method of dissection and forced association in an effort to discredit otherwise plausible argumentations.

Al Qaeda (spell it any way you wish, my Kurdish colleagues have their own way of spelling this name) = Patsies. A perfect picture. Did we learn even one spec from Dealey Plaza ?

Yes, we did. And how !

CointelPro.....was phased out, right ? Wrong.

More from me as more from you'all appears here.  The more the merrier so dig in and whip it up ! btw, a comment from Mary would be VERY enticing.

Cheney & Rumsy, not Dubya

as in "will the real pResident...please stand down, please stand down, please stand down?"

Have a look at http://911review.com/means/standdown.html

Again, details are not necessary, but if you want and need details, they're there. Some argue there was no real need for a stand down simply because of all the confusion as a result of the multiple war games that day. Perhaps. But who's bright idea was it to stage all those war games that day ? It wasn't Dubya's idea.

snippet from that web page;

"It's inconceivable that New York City could be struck by two
wayward jumbo jets, and still over 30 minutes later there
remained no defenses over the skies of Washington D.C., easily
one of the most heavily defended places in the world.

This reality led Anatoli Kornukov, the commander-in-chief of the
Russian Air Force to say: "Generally it is impossible to carry
out an act of terror on the scenario which was used in the USA
yesterday. (...) As soon as something like that happens here, I
am reported about that right away and in a minute we are all up."

It really was a thorough and well planned job. The logistics of it all. Each participant had to be of the opinion he is doing his duty and that it is what we call "business as usual" with the exception of the patsies who were convinced they were pullnig it all off...all on their own. LOL

I'd really rather write and talk about music and peace and festivals and mutli-culti matters but as it is, I have no other choice but to go after the one big event which changed even my life, way over here in old Europe.

What's on TV ? Got a lite ? zzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
