"Larry Ellison is the second richest person in the world. The Oracle co-founder net worth is about $380 billion following a 36% surge in Oracle shares. He hasmade big moves into big media. Big Media is relevant for political influence but also for data and reach that is useful for winning in AI."

People used to complain that network TV monopolized the "airwaves" but we are so far beyond that from mergers now that decebillionaire families, or even individuals, essentially control everything we see or hear from MainStream Media (MSM). Such wealthy people have no incentive to alter the basic status quo and alternate media is too fragmented and tiny to matter.
