That's why in 2007, a provision was put in by Congress mandating that each government agency give an estimated date to those who file a request of when they'll take action. But it looks like not all government agencies are following the rules and now a lawsuit has been filed against the FBI, CIA, Department of Defense, and other agencies for failing to comply with the law.
