Obama doesn't seem to mind when his generals criticize his policies. However, when General Petraeus is so brazen as to criticize the power behind the throne, he clearly doesn't know his place, so ADL, the other side of the AIPAC coin, decided to take him to the woodshed publicly. When MoveOn.Org criticized Petraeus a few years ago, all of Congress erupted in outrage, but what will their reaction be now to their overseers.
