Very rough interview notes

we call it the people's tribunal on the Iraq war.

What could we have ready when the elections are over.

we needed to remember the Iraq war, which was still raging, but has been forgotten.

So many lives lost and innumerable costs.

Starting November 15, we will try to flood the media with the lies and costs.

Bringing back movies, books, awareness, r

December 2, live tribunal--

Other Iraq tribunals-- the media doesn't cover them.

Aim, bring home fact that war is the main contributing factor to so many social problems.

Tribunal is theater--

Chillicothe report summary is 1000 pages long. This is the opportunity for the anti-war movement to tell stories that come home-- painful stories of soldiers, mothers of soldiers, Iraq women, people from the media, from the CIA, members of congress.

It ends with dream defenders, BLM movement"

We live in an economy

Rob: What can we do to help?

Everyone has felt the cost of this war.

Place on Iraqtribunal.org to ask Obama to listen to the testimony and open an investigation.

Discusses use of depleted Uranium. Obama needs to say yes we do need a commission on truth and accountability.

The tribunal is an offering to everyone to use it-- we have to build an anti-war movement.

Sign the message to obama. Sign up as a coalition partner

Seven things to do. Downloadable form that helps you figure out costs to your city. We need every city to do this. We need to articulate this. to grow the movement.

Rob: My experience is that when there's a Democrat in the Whitehouse the peace movement dies off.

We peace movement has grown smarter. We need to tell our truth as effectively as they tell their lives.

When we were trying to get people into the halls of congress. There was this "right way to do things" that we've seen fail. We have to realize that those that are attached to war. This is greed, power, control. We have watched it fail and fail and fail. We have to be building the movement. We know too much. We know we can't let power get away with stupidities.

Millennials have not idea about the Iraq war.

One of the roles the tribunal needs to play is the role of education, the role of remembering.

Rob: can you tell us about other tribunals you've been inspired by

First was Iraq Tribunal in Turkey

went to Baghdad-- met women who lost children during the war. Launched Occupation watch-- an Iraqi media team. Our hotel got bombed. I came back knowing I couldn't go back to Iraq anymore.

The world tribunal on Iraq happened. People came from around the world to the old Palace in Istanbul Turkey.

One of the most important things was that people came from all over the world.

What we forget in the US is that our foreign policies affect everyone. Discussed coercion of the coalition of the willing.

Umar Mohammed, one of the strongest women's voices--helping released ISIL sex slaves risk going home to their families to be killed by their families via "honor killings."

Undermining of respect affects everyone in family.

Rob: we've been at year continuously for 14 years. People are numb.

Jodie: For an Iraqi it's 25 years.

Rob; Give us an idea what a tribunal is all about

Nuremberg is what everybody looks at

Revealing, expose and elevate the cost and tragedy of what is to be witnessed.

This is a people's tribunal for everyone to use it.

We are left with so few ways to raise awareness. With the MSM avoiding covering.

A tribunal

Inder Comar has a lawsuit-- class action suit, based on Neuremberg trials, after the Judge asked the US are you willing to be held accountable.

This is in response to Obama saying we're not going to look back we're only going to look forward.

Zanab Salbi

What we have done to this country. To look f forward is to not learn. The tribunal is for witnessing.

We really need for everyone to be engaged.

We need to pull the stool out from beneath war, to disrupt it in some way. We have to stop this madness because it is going to continue to grow.

Medea and, during the 2004 election wrote Stop The Next War Now.

We can hear in the Hillary" her relationship with Netanyahu that Iran is next.

We have to share these truths with each other.

This costs us. We can't pretend that we live in some fairy tale land"

We need to take o ver the airwaves, take over the media-- it's yet another opportunity to do that.

Rob: What are the dates for the schedule

now we're co electing testimony. By Nov 15 people will be testifying, people who have been writing about it will be writing.

Official Tribunal Dec 1 and 2, available for livestream on the real news

The following week the contents of the Tribunal will be delivered to the White House and Congress.

Anything planned for the Inauguration

We will be occupying the inauguration.

We need
