 ·        Citizens Rally for Human Dignity on Sunday, May 11, 2008 @ 4:00 PM – Location:  North parking lot of El Portal Restaurant, 117 W. Grant Street, Phoenix, AZ 85003 Note: After the rally we will walk to the Arizona State Capitol.  The demonstration at the Capital will conclude the events of the Walk for Human Dignity. Join us in celebrating these events.  The Walk began in Tucson, Az. on May 6, and will culminate at the Arizona State Capitol on May 11. Over 50 local, state, national and international organizations have endorsed and/or are participating in this Walk and above-referenced events.  The objectives of the Walk and surrounding events are to call for an end to the human indignity of racism, racial profiling, raids, indefinite detentions, deportations, and racially fomented hate crimes.  We must break the silence of the inhumane treatment of people living within the borders of the United States by a program of the Department of Homeland Security (“Operation End Game”).  Several law enforcement agencies at both the county and federal level are supporting the Department’s “End Game” project.  Every day undocumented immigrant families are being terrorized, brutalized and their children are torn from them as a result of this project.  We must break the silence of this policy NOW. For the latest information and details:  www.walk4humandignity.com.
