This video shows the inhumane treatment of the animals you eat before they end up on your plate. Our Government turns a blind eye to the cruelty inflicted on defenseless animals. Our government officials should be taking a closer look at the way food animals are treated. Laws must be passed to set a standard for humane treatment. Turning a blind eye to the mistreatment makes us no different than those that commit the cruelty.

PLEASE BEWARE. THIS VIDEO IS VERY DISTURBING. For those of you with a weak stomach you may wish to watch an alternative video that shows a young woman and her reaction to the video. You will still be able to hear what's going on in the video but it will spare you from the visual aspects. Not as graphic but still effective. Click the link below to view the alternative video:

This video shows the inhumane treatment of the animals you eat before they end up on your plate. I watched through glistening tears as I heard the cries of various animals being tortured. Our Government turns a blind eye and a hardened heart to the cruelty being inflicted on defenseless animals.  I am going to think twice before eating anymore meat. After seeing the cruelty being inflicted on helpless animals I have decided to boycott the meat industry until laws are made to insure humane treatment of all food animals.

Don't get me wrong, I have raised animals for food. The difference is that all my animals were treated humanely and with kindness. They lived the life of Riley. When it came time for them to be butchered, it was done with care to insure they did not suffer.

Our hogs had a huge yard where they were not forced lay in their own feces, something they will not do unless forced. They had a nice wooden house where they could get out of the sun or bad whether. They were fed the best grain and all the surplus goat's milk they wanted. They had their back's scratched and were given a nice spray from the hose on hot days. These were happy animals.

Our goats wandered over the ten acres of pasture land during the day and slept on fresh hay in the barn at night. They each knew their name and would come when called. Believe it or not, all of these were very intelligent animals. Our chickens had it nice, too. The older hens who had stopped producing eggs were allowed to raise a brood of chicks, the eggs being taken from the nests of other hens. These lucky ladies were allowed to take their chicks out of the hen yard and wander through the garden for bugs and other tasty treats.

I realize that this cannot be expected of the people who grow food on a large scale. However, it is not necessary to torture them beforehand.

Our government officials should be taking a closer look at the way food animals are treated. To turn a blind eye to it can only mean that their hearts are hardened or/and they are getting a big pay off. If watching this video leaves you unaffected then I don't want to know you. I don't think I could trust you not to do the same to me. It takes a certain kind of individual to be able to inflict this repeated cruelty on  helpless animals and remain unaffected by it. I don't believe it can be done. Remember what's been said about serial killers? Most of them admitted to torturing animals when they were children. A person must have a warped mind to do these things and they are out there among us in public. Scary!

If you are shocked by what you have seen in this video then you must contact your representatives and make a formal protest, demand that something be done, and laws passed that set a standard for humane treatment. Turning a blind eye to the mistreatment of food animals can only come back to bite you, and you would deserve it!!!

Until such laws are passed I plan to boycott the meat industry. It will not be as hard as one might think. All I need to do is think about this video and my stomach will turn. Instead, I will eat more fish, which is better for you anyway.

The only thing that separates us from the lower animals is our humanity. To do nothing may suggest that you have lost yours.

Thanks for reading and I hope you have been moved to do something to help the helpless among us, no matter what outward appearance they might have.
