I began to wonder, “How big is 12.8 trillion?”
Having difficulty wrapping my brain around such a ginormous figure, I decided that it might be instructive to put this into a bit of perspective.
12 inches = 1 foot
1 million inches = 15.8 miles
1 billion inches = 15,783 miles (nearly 2/3 the way around the earth)
1 trillion inches = 631 laps around the equator
12.8 trillion inches = 8077 laps around the equator
8077 laps around the equator = 201,925,000 miles or 2.2X the distance to the sun
And it’s still growing weekly... a staggering amount of which is going to foreign banks, not US banks.
Now, don’t you feel better?
From what I've read, $12.8 trillion is more than enough to pay off EVERY mortgage, EVERY student loan, and EVERY credit card in the US. All that debt wiped out… and with a little bit left over for good measure. If this is the case, why is our money being funneled into the very same, failed, international banking institutions that engineered the collapse in the first place? More important, why do we allow this to happen? Most important, what can you and I do to stop this insanity? Seriously, WHAT - CAN - WE - DO?!
