Barbara Hershey in Left to Die, by Eric McCandless and Google
Set now, in the US of Forking A. and Ecuador, where Ms. Hershey is incarcerated after the South American authorities discover two large bags of cocaine in her things, coming into the country for a nice late-middle age vacation. But she GETS OUT. Thanx largely to politics (right? no left. no center, African American women division....). And this is a Very Good Thing, and not only as indicative of how the last American election continued the empowerment of women worldwide, but as indicative of how TV (DirectTV to be exact) is growing up.
I could only watch it intermittently, the Australian Open with Sloane Stephens versus the latest Brit lady sensation conflicting on another station, and subsequently could find neither hide nor hair of it, available from Netflix or elsewhere. So this blurb is mainly from memory.
But check the movie out, and not only if you just love women; but if you have any hope remaining for what is unpopularly known as Humanity.
