Actor Jude Law said he has liked Turk director Nuri Bilge Ceylan who won Cannes award at last week. Ceylan's film "Bir zamanlar Anadolu'da' won Cannes award. His films have photographic visuals and different shots. He had won awards at Cannes before, too, and he has prerogative place at cinema all around the world.
The production team of "Bir zamanlar Anadolu'da' said that Brit actor Jude Law has said he has liked Ceylan's films and he has watched all films of him. We don't know if Law wants to role at Ceylan films or doesn't but if he has role he will try different roles, out of others.
I watched "Uzak' (Far away) film of Ceylan. It was good as author piece but it is far away from guichet earning, too. The actor at that film had died before projection. It was sad. You may see all photographic shots at Ceylan's film. His camera is static and wide shots include good compositions. I think he was photographer before directory and he reflects this past at films.
He unites main message with shots. "Far away' tells distance between social roles of 2 friends. But these 2 men were far away each other as physical at same home, too. This rhetoric is realized with wide shot and positioning of players, successfully. But its telling is so slow that if any watcher isn't watcher of Nuri Bilge Ceylan he can be bored, like me.
I haven't watched "Bir zamanlar Anadolu'da' but its trailer is interesting and I will watch second Ceylan film of me.
Turk serial "AÃ...?k-Ä ± Memnu' what is based on a Turk novel by Halid Ziya UÃ...?aklÄ ±gil breaks rating records at Afghanistan. It had reached same success at Turkey, too. But this serial has a big problem: Taliban.
Taliban threatens TV channel which is supported by USA and projects the "AÃ...?k-Ä ± Memnu' serial with bombing. Taliban claims the serial damages to local family life and ethic. Taliban terrorists start a campaign at web for bombing the TV buildings. According to Turkish media Afghans are focused to television when serial is on air.
That serial's story had been received as a bit marginal at Turkey, too. This novel which is based on is a classical at Turkey and it has been written about 110 years ago. AÃ...?k-Ä ± Memnu can be translated as "Forbidden Love'. So, you can guess why Taliban so angry with it.
