Dennis Hastert is trying to weasel out of the Abramoff trial.If you have not been fllowing ABC's ongoing story Dennis Hastert's ties to convicted lobbyist,Jack Abramoff,then you are missing the big story!Essentially,someone close to the Abramoff investigation leaked information to the media that Hastert is being investigated by the FBI.
Hastert denied the allegations stating that the Department og Jutice (DOJ) is not investigating him.ABC fired back and defending their story and corrected Hastert,stating that the FBI is doing the investigation,not DOJ.
Hastert and his spindoctor,Ron Bonjean,continue to deny any connection with Tom DeLay and casino industry despite clear links.The AP News piece below is just one piece of evidence.
