The banksters were "too big to fail," so between the Treasury and the Federal Reserve we (read YOU and I) allowed them TRILLIONS (no one but they know how many) of OUR money, which was then used to reward incompetents and crooks with multi-million dollar bonuses, with the balance going to encourage the same machinations of greed and treachery that ruined our economy in the first place, with no evidence of effective corrective regulation.

Meanwhile, per this morning's (3-16-10) Washington Post, the Maryland and Virginia counties abutting Das Capital...er...Our Capital are cutting back their budgets for public schools, clinics and nursing homes.

So, Buddy Bankster gets to buy a second or third Lexus and a new yacht to tool around in Long Island Sound or the Potomac Basin while entertaining his favorite congressfolk, while your daughter's teacher gets fired, and your favorite nephew gets downsized and resorts to the military option -- endless war notwithstanding -- to provide for his young wife and baby inclusive of actual single-payer medical care.

Can anyone outside OUR government and OUR complicit Congress not comprehend that we and our children are being victimized and will continue to be abused ever worse unless WE CHOOSE to stop the perpetrators, both private and governmental?

No, voting for the other party, Democrat or Republican, is not the easy way out. Since 1980 we've traded them in and out of office, and with each iteration the misrepresentation of the people's well being descends to a new depth of exploitation along with the erosion of our Constitution. That magnificent document begins: "We the People.." but guarantees nothing for We the Sheeple, and that's what we've become.

The first thing we must grasp is the First Law of Navigation: "Know Your Position." Our position is that we're being increasingly screwed by the very government we choose to vote for, or have decided not to vote for in disgust, from disinterest or blithering stupidity. Continuing down this path (voting or not voting) will reward us with MORE of the same treachery, more economic exploitation, more of the security state, more endless war.

So, here are OUR choices:

(1) Continue to vote for bullshit -- Democrat or Republican -- such as a "contract for America," a "new world order," deregulation, NAFTA, and most recently: "Hope!" and "ChangeYou Can Believe In!" etc, etc, ad nauseam. Trust in this most assuredly: If we do not change our behavior, our abusers will not change theirs, i.e. the treachery of the greed mongers, their government agents and those who lust for power will morph ever grosser until we are rendered hapless serfs to a treacherous power elite.

..... (2)Revolution. Note: Can get messy, bloody even. And whether you choose or not to be involved, you in fact will be.

..... (3) Toss the rascals of both current major parties out and replace them with decent citizen government. No, I do not have a favorite replacement. No, I am not able to instruct on the detailed methodology of change. But I, we should welcome all recommendations, and I, we should participate in the effort and the organization of the means to decent government.

You may note that Doing Nothing is not a choice. Such a persuasion automatically defaults into a vote for Option (1) i.e. increased treachery and eventual serfdom. (This choice, incidentally, one cannot fail to notice, is the direction most of our churches have taken.)

A note on getting started: Despite the popular detraction of such course, getting ANGRY will help. And outrage is even better. If you need help in this direction, just think of the fate of your children and grandchildren in the hands of ever more ambitious bi-partisan crooks, police-statists and war mongers.
