The only way Vietnam came to a final close was when the US Congress finally told Nixon that it would not fund another ridiculous invasion. Enough is enough. It is time to tell Obama that this is enough. We have a Depression at home. We do not need to be fighting an outlandish war.
Even if you believed the 911 nonsense, is it right to kill a million Iraqis and 5000 US soldiers for the 3000 who died in 911? Did we kill enough people yet to have exacted our revenge? I guess it didn't matter who we killed as long as someone paid for 911 several times over.
Why are we killing people in Pakistan? I thought we were trying to kill an already dead Osama bin Laden. Do we need to kill more people in another country and bankrupt this country to continue this war of revenge, war for oil, or war for Christian right ideology of some sort?
Why do we have to force people to give up their extremist views when the CIA paid to put madrassas in Pakistan back when Russia was there in Afghanistan. The US and Saudi Arabia funded the extreme views in Islam. Saudi Arabia promotes Wahabism and apparently so does the CIA. It is time for the CIA and the US military to stop dabbling in other people's affairs. Why do we need to control everything when we can't even control the corruption that is running rampant in our own government?
The war machine has become ludicrously insane, and it's time to stop it, shut it down, close bases down, stop building war machines, and focus on rebuilding our country in a peaceful way.
Tell Congress to pull the plug on war spending. Tell Obama, "NO! We won't fund anymore war!"
