The following images of Arlene Slavin's paintings created in the 1980's illustrate abundantly where talent and perfection intersect. That decade was a tumultuous one in American art, and whereas Ms. Slavin's geometrical expressionist works of the 70's were repetitive, her paintings from the 1980's are alive with change, and with animals, and the environment, and compositions born of her work in the preceding decade.*
