"... 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, ..."

Follow Me on Twitter     Message William Finnerty

Shortly after my very public "Machine Gun Interview" of August 31st 2008 with three uniformed PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland) officers, and feeling very uncomfortable and uneasy about the way Consultant Psychiatrist Dr Anne Jeffers appeared to me to be trivialising the mental torture I was struggling with, I tried to change her apparent perception and understanding of what I was feeling by firmly and truthfully saying to her " but it feels as though I am being psychologically gang-raped, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, by the ongoing outrageous abuses of the senior lawyers and politicians responsible for the overall mess my life is now in: and, worst of all, that I cannot stop this abuse it seems, no matter what I try to do, or who, or where, I try to seek help from ."

When Anne Jeffers instantly responded to what I had just said to her by visibly wincing in a manner that was very obvious to me -- all of this took place during a formal appointment I was having with her in her office -- I knew that I had hit the "psychological target" I was desperately seeking, and consequently I optimistically anticipated that from that point onwards, she would help me in some meaningful, significant, and responsible way.

Unfortunately for me -- but NOT for my "politician and legal profession tormentors" of course -- it seems Dr Jeffers must have entirely recovered from her short-lived shock very quickly, and very fully; and, the "meaningful, significant, and responsible" LEGAL and MEDICAL help which I anticipated (at the time) might be about to come my way, never did materialise.
