The House Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) had 'refused to impeach Bush and Cheney' on Thirty Five Articles of Impeachment and Senate Majority Leader Reid (D-NV) was not interested in a Senate Trial to remove Bush and Cheney from office. Of course, impeaching Bush and Cheney and removing them both from office should have been a top priority for the Democrats in a nation of laws where 'no one is above the law'.
