It seems strange to me that the comments of Dr. Daniel Ellsberg on life-and-death issues would generate such a response on a progressive site.
Thankfully, the commenter conceded at the outset that he is "not an expert myself" and that he is basing his comments on an unnamed and unnumbered group of doctors and scientists.
Therefore, the rest of us can treat the rest of the comments accordingly, bearing in mind that the vast majority of doctors, scientists, government officials, etc. from around the world, no matter what the system of government, are on record of contradicting this commenter's claims -- and that an extensive record exists that the anti-vax, anti-mask, pandemic-skeptic movement is filled with zealots, grifters, political partisans and ego-centric fame-seekers.
A list of the top dozen of those nefarious propagandists is provided in the very first entry (by chronology) of the daily update of newsworthy pandemic news, commentary and statistics that the Justice Integrity Project publishes each day in an appendix here to a thoughtful recent and relevant column by Dr. Steven Jonas, M.D., Ph.D., a frequent OEN contributor.
