I like the generally pro-active drift of the article but I would suggest much more radical and I believe effective reforms.
First, it should be better understood (IMO) that all three Trump appointments were severely tainted -- and that likely can be documented upon investigations that should be initiated by a Biden administration and Democratic Congress, along with private watchdog organizations. The problems with the Gorsuch and likely Barrett appointments are well-known, but a rigorous investigation of the Deutsche Bank-Kushner-Kennedy family connections could well reveal special factors undermining the Kavanaugh nomination in addition to the serious allegations of perjury involving both his confirmation testimony and previous testimony.
Furthermore, the current court is likely to have not just a 6-3 Republican-Democratic majority, but also to contain three justices who in effect earned their seats in part by participating in Bush Florida vote recount effort after the 2000 election, helping the Supreme Court throw the election to Bush. Much more examination of this disgraceful process is overdue, helping (among other things) to undermine any phony claims that progressives and other Americans are being unfair in seeking redress.
As for such redress, I suggest a three-part process: Prompt legislation by incoming federal officials to expand the court to 13 justices in two stages, with two new justices immediately and two more the following January. Simultaneously, there should be rigorous investigation of current members with the goal of impeachment for any proven offenses.
Courts and "law enforcers" do such probes all the time, although targeting the powerless disproportionately. It's time to stop putting up with a two-tiered "justice" system.
