COVID-19 severity linked to gut bacteria in first-of-its-kind study

By Scott Baker

A first-of-its-kind study has found a link between COVID-19 severity and the gut microbiome. A handful of preliminary studies published in late 2020 suggested patients suffering from COVID-19 may present with novel gut microbiome signatures.
