After Donald Trump tweeted his hopes that “good old global warming” will save the country from cold winter temperatures, Democrats erupted on Thursday. One Democratic representative called Trump a “child who hates science class,” saying it’s sad that the President of the United States doesn’t instead use his social media platform to help people prepare for the frigid temperatures. One of Trump’s most outspoken critics, Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) also slammed Trump, saying he either “doesn’t understand the science behind climate change, or he is intentionally misleading the American people.”
