Does Ralph Nader Owe Us an Apology?
By C. Bid
Just exactly how are we supposed to vote? What should the desired outcome be? And other questions I can't answer...

“Cthulu for President… Why vote for a lesser evil?” -Bumper Sticker
I guess I’m just frustrated because I can’t answer it myself… but, just how are we supposed to vote? Do we vote for the candidate who’d best serve our own self-interests? Should we give support to the one who feels as passionately about certain issues as we do? Do we logically discern who’s the best for our country and world and get behind them? Do we vote for the ‘lesser’ or ‘least’ of evils? Do we cast our ballot as a symbolic statement? Or shall we, as some have suggested, refrain from taking part in a corrupted process? Is my vote wasted if I support a third party candidate or political ‘outsider’? Is a third party candidate a wrench in the spokes or spoiler, so to speak? Does my vote (outside the two party system) somehow enable the ‘greater’ evil to become elected? Did Ralph Nader or the presence of a Third Party play a role in Bush getting elected in the first place? Just what should be our overall objective when casting our ballots –what outcome should we be seeking? And what about the unintended consequences, if any?
I suppose I have my opinions, but I can’t come to any really solid conclusions… I encourage you to share your thoughts on all this crap with me.
