Tucson Poet Tree 2

Poetry series "Tucson Poet Tree" is holding another event in Tucson.

Sunday October 21 @ 6pm the new poetry series "Tucson Poet Tree" will be holding their second event here in Tucson. Readers will include event curator, Clarissa Bueno and a mix of established and emerging poets such as Jefferson Carter (author of "Sentimental Blue" & "My Kind of Animal") Shelly Taylor ("Black-Eyed Heifer"), Steven Salmoni ("Landscapes, with Green Mangoes") and several others.

From the curator:

This event will take place on Sunday, October 21 on the Northwest Corner of Grant/Campbell (the park by Coffee Xchange). This is a poetry reading/art show that will feature live music from local artists and writers. This is a picnic so please Bring Your Own Blanket. Authors Bio:

Bill Wetzel is Amskapi Pikuni aka Blackfeet from Montana. His writing has appeared in the American Indian Culture & Research Journal, Yellow Medicine Review, Studies In Indian Literatures (SAIL), Hinchas de Poesia, Red Ink Magazine, Literary Orphans and various outlets. He is the founder of the Stjukshon Indigenous reading series at Casa Libre en la Solana in Tucson, AZ. He is a 2018 Peripheral Poet Fellow, and twice a Lijang Studio Spring Festival Writer-in-Residence in Lijang, Yunnan, China. He is the 2022 MFA Author Awards winner. He currently lives and teaches in Shanghai, China.
