In his jaded boredom Romney seeks the presidency.

Mitt Romney is very wealthy.
This fact, in and of itself, makes him neither qualified nor unqualified to be America's president, but in his case it seems that he has succumbed to the ennui that often infects those to whom things come too easily.
Being wealthy from birth, he has made adding to that wealth his raison d'etre and indeed, he has been highly successful in that effort. Indicative of this is the quip he made at a St. Patrick's day breakfast in Boston in 2005, "When I was a boy, I used to think that becoming rich and becoming famous would make me happy." He then added, "Boy, was I right!"
Apparently since then he has become jaded and the mere acquisition of wealth has become insufficient to ensure happiness for him. He has now made election to the presidency as the next box to be checked on his bucket list.
