The Edgar and Lucy Henriques House at 20 Old Pali Place in Honolulu, Hawai Ê» i was built in 1904 for the Henriques couple, who had married in 1898. Edgar Henriques was a businessman who had arrived in Hawai Ê» i from New York in 1896. ^{[ 2 ]} Lucy was of high-born Hawaiian ali Ê» i heritage, descended from Isaac Davis, a British seaman who served as advisor to Kamehameha I in dealing with foreigners and in conquering the other islands. Lucy's aunt, Lucy Kaopauli Kalanikiekie Peabody, built the house for the couple and also lived there herself until her death in 1928. It stands as one of the best-preserved and few surviving examples of a grand "kamaaina" dwelling from the end of the 19th century, with a covered porte-cochere and wraparound lanai; a splendid, wide-open interior; and large doors and windows that could easily be opened to tropical breezes. Its architect was Thomas Gill, father of Thomas P. Gill, and it was listed on the Hawai Ê» i and National Register of Historic Places in 1984. ^{[ 1 ]}

Lucy K. Peabody had served as a maid of honor and lifelong companion to Queen Emma (1836--1885), the wife of King Kamehameha IV (r. 1865--1863) and the granddaughter of John Young, Isaac Davis's companion in arms and fellow advisor to Kamehameha I. Emma's hanai (adoptive) father, Dr. Thomas Charles Byde Rooke, had also been a business partner of Lucy's father, Dr. Parker Peabody, both of them being American physicians.

Lucy Kalanikumaikiekie Henriques was active in the Daughters of Hawaii, the Hawaiian Historical Society (HHS), and the Kaahumanu Society. Her husband Edgar was a prominent member of the business community and also active in the HHS, publishing occasional studies on traditional Hawaiian history and culture. ^{[ 3 ]} Edgar and Lucy had a large collection of Hawaiian cultural artifacts, which are now in the Bernice P. Bishop Museum. ^{[ 1 ]}

Peke Davis had 3 children and stepchildren: Wahinekipi, a daughter(father: Humehume/ George Humehume - brother of Keliiahonui/Aaron Kealiiahonui; Kinoiki (w); Kahinu (w); Haupu/Kahekili (k); Kuheleaumoku (k); Kahai (k); Kanekoa (k); Kaulia (k) - children of Kaumualii of Kauai, who was also stepfather of the Kamehameha's through marriages of Kamehameha's wives/widows Namahana/Piia and her sister Kaahumanu); sons Davis/David(father: Keawe), and George (father Akoni/Antone Sylva/Silveira).
