Rove Tries (and Fails) to Rewrite History

By Bob Regl

Karl Rove's new book is a pack of lies designed to brighten up the image of the worst president in U.S. history

::::::::

In his new book, "Courage and Consequence", Karl Rove, the patron saint of Republican politicians, expresses regret that Bush was not aggressive enough challenging those who charged that Bush "lied" to the American people about the reasons for the Iraq War.
Not aggressive enough? My God! How much more aggressive could that confederacy of criminals be? What they did to Valerie Plame was as aggressive as one could get while stopping short of murder.
Recall that her husband, Joe Wilson, uncovered Bush's lie that Iraq was getting uranium from Niger, so in retribution Bush's thugs exposed the fact that Ms Plame was a CIA agent (a felony in itself), causing her to lose her job and endangering CIA operatives worldwide.
Bush lied about how he and Cheney falsified intelligence to justify attacking Iraq and he subsequently lied repeatedly about Iraq's response to UN inspection demands. He claimed that Saddam Hussein barred UN inspectors from his country - a lie of epic proportions. He continued reciting this bogus history from right after the invasion until the end of his presidency.
Everyone in the world knew this was a lie at the time - we all watched, dumbfounded, at how Bush could lie about events occurring before our eyes. We all saw UN inspector Hans Blix's reports of not finding any WMD and then being forced to discontinue the inspection and leave Iraq - not at Hussein's order, but because Bush's criminal invasion was to begin in a few days.
Rove's attempt to rewrite the history we all witnessed is not really surprising; it's typical of the ravings of his wicked and twisted mind.
