The Beginnings of a Conversation

"crop circles and some truth"

By Doug Morrison

"All I want is the truth, just gimme some truth." – John Lennon 1971

Since education always illuminates the truth, we'll start with the newsletter Swirled News and its crop circle primer, view the Youtube: English Crop Circles and take a look at the Crop Circle Connector: 2009 crop circles.

"Some like to understand what they believe in. Others like to believe in what they understand." Stanislav Lec 1961

- a modern story -

"The Widow Reason, One Crop Circle and Another Chance At Love."

On a fine summer morning, we watch the Widow Reason as she takes some of her friends, and two acquaintances, on one of her famous adventures. This time she takes them to a brand new crop circle on July 21, 2009.

They meander through the full length of the crop circle, then walk ahead to look back at it. Reason asked her friends to share their thoughts about this phenomena in general.

It started out well.

Hope went first; she talked of great projects in the future influenced by these crop circles, and then left, as usual, to a standing ovation. Rationality was next, but couldn't pick up where Hope left off, so he didn't make much sense. Science tried to talk, but was questioned mercilessly for not knowing enough and being arrogant in his ignorance. Mathematics had two new math theorems come forth in one hour, but couldn't explain his song to anyone else. Physics said hello to his cousin and now stands up straighter with examples to explain himself. Art is already at work recreating herself, before kicking back and watching her own growth. Democracy kept asking why her minions wouldn't let her citizens see those crop circles, but only Politics listened. Spirituality just smiled, saying, "Man, you ain't never seen nothing like that before." Religion was gonna punch Discovery, but couldn't be seen doing that, so he hired Politics to do the punching, but Discovery had already left to look at other crop circles. Trust walked around looking bewildered, so he had a few drinks and met Humor, who had disguised herself as Art. Later that evening, Humor took Trust home with her and they made sweet love so divine. Persistence seemed to be everywhere with his whistle except when he walked silently with Spirituality. Reason just watched and relaxed; every few minutes she would give Truth a hug. Truth just kept pointing at the crop circle laughing softly. Media, who had gotten in disguised as Communication, looked at the same crop circle, whispered nervously and fell all over himself running towards Money. Money just stood there; he was in no hurry, knowing most everyone would eventually come to him about this. The Widow Reason was enjoying Truth. She liked everything about him, his words, his smell and his laughter. She saw romance on the horizon for the first time since her husband Balance had been killed by Havoc. Reason needed to ask Experience for advice and she'd have to talk to Money one more time. Experience was just plain expensive.

- end -

I was pleasantly surprised to see an article about the crop circles in Washington State USA on the front page of the Seattle Times, August 13, 2009: It was a pretty good article with interesting and disheartening comments on their web site. There could've been a better conversation. It was the Times' most popular article for that week, in hits, with over 100 comments. Unfortunately, most of the comments were juvenile, incorrect and full of bravado wondering why "aliens" would come 'zillions' of miles to put a crop circle in an obscure field in Redneck County, Wilbur, WA. Typical response.

Crop circles are probably the most fascinating unexplained phenomena in the world today. It was heartening to see any coverage at all of crop circles by a major newspaper in America 2009. The Wilbur circles, the only USA crop circles in 2009, are very simplistic compared to the jaw dropping circles, rectangles, free form designs and pictures within the crop circles in Wiltshire, England. I hope the Wilbur farmers allowed experts from Washington State University's Agricultural Department to study and analyze those crop circles in their fields before they were mowed down, which was well before Harvest.

"I was brought up to believe that the only thing worth doing was to add to the sum of accurate information in the world." Margaret Mead 1964

Experts can differentiate between genuine and fake crop circles, though some of the 'fake' ones are well done and even commissioned. After the fact, complex geometries and mathematics are the hallmarks of genuine formations. Crushed and smashed down wheat are a sign of fakery, but the experts would have to see more to determine which are authentic. Wouldn't fakers want to show off their art, and not remain anonymous or poor? Still, any fool can jump up and down on a piece of plywood in a field of wheat. Does that make a crop circle? That's the technique 'Doug & Dave' shared in 1991 when they said that they had created ALL the crop circles in England. What a joke and what a lie. The media bought it, though, and made that story the end-all of the crop circle saga. Of course, there's more to it all.

"Most ignorance is vincible ignorance. We don't know because we don't want to know." Aldous Huxley 1961

It's about the bent nodes on wheat stalks. The most telling evidence is the expanded nodes on wheat stalks where they bend at a 90 degree angle. Wheat stalks are fragile. They easily crimp and fold; it's their nature. Bending wheat stalks with expanded nodes is beyond human technology, ability or understanding. We just plain don't know how to create this anomaly. These crops continue to grow and come to harvest while lying horizontally because of that 90 degree bend. Scientists, mathematicians and agriculture experts from around the world have studied the crop circles and determined that not only are they authentic, but they have something universal to say.

You could fly to Wiltshire, England, tomorrow to see these crop circles, walk among them and talk about them to a variety of experts who can be found at these sites.

From the air, they look like geometric designs that have been layered onto a photo of a Wiltshire landscape using Photoshop. That's how out of context they seem. It's another reality that does seem to be laid on top of our own reality, quantum though it may be.

Once you examine crop circles, it becomes amazingly clear that we are dealing with "other beingness" and a very high level of technical and 'natural' prowess in creating designs using cereal crops. It's an incredible attempt at communicating with humans on Earth and giving us a helping hand to move into a kinder, smarter Earth.

The crop circles pretty much speak for themselves. They are magnificent. Any open-minded person could see that these marvels of nature deserve respect and study, major study involving looking at the universe, or the multiverse, differently, but if you want to stop a conversation or create an awkward silence around some people, start talking about crop circles. We risk our intellectual and everyday sensible reputation when we talk of paranormal events, like crop circles. The fear of ridicule can become much more important than our desire for knowledge. Most people are very concerned with what other people think of them, which may be the biggest obstacle to human development. We could've found many answers in crop circles if people weren't so afraid of that ridicule. Instead, humans make fun of them, dismiss them and, in the case of some, vehemently deny them as the Devil's work. Just who is this Devil? Such is the nature of talking about crop circles to most people.

But there's more, much more...

And this is it! The Big Event! CONTACT. The Big One.....

August 21, 2001..."OK"....Stop...."hey, quit laughing there in the back; this stuff is real and will amaze you"....OK?

Important...."Hold on, we'll take a giant step"...and..."Here it is again... CONTACT. Crop circle phenomena at its greatest, complete with Bush 2001 science, media blackout (it was just before 9/11), extreme facts and, of course, my opinion.

Hypothetically, the world's viewpoint on life would have changed for the better if the US and British Intelligence agencies had allowed publication of their findings on the Chilbolton SETI crop circle. I wonder what they were thinking? The Bush administration was vacationing in Texas during August 2001, waiting for our world to change drastically, turning towards fascism and terrorism on Sept. 11, 2001. They were creating their "new world order" and they almost succeeded. The August 21, 2001 crop circle showing an otherworldly reply to a SETI transmission would have changed their attempted world, so they disguised it as a myth and denied its existence. That's probably closer to the truth than is realized. This Chilboltin SETI crop circle visual response was a reply to our 1974 SETI radio telescope transmission. What would George Bush and Tony Blair do with that info? Well, obviously, they did not make that info available to the world. Maybe it interfered with Evangelical Christianity and American Empire . It escaped our attention because it was passed off as myth and suppressed, with a concentrated effort at deception and lack of scrutiny on the part of corporate media because it was a crop circle, making it much easier to suppress. Hypothetically, of course.

These are true crop circles. These Chilbolton SETI crop circles aren't even the magnificent ones, more the technical, the how-to, still beautiful but not magnificent, although they feature a new way of shading not seen before.

Here are a few of the great crop circles of 2009. We could certainly have a conversation about any of these formations: Southfield, Winterbourne, Ogbourne, Chesterton, Knolldown or Wayland's Smithy.

"The actual cannot be impossible." Gustav Theodor Fechner 1871

Crop Circles should fascinate us, propel major analysis and be a dominant topic of conversation around the world, with all the side talk of human uniqueness, religion, spirituality, physics, mathematics and a new worldview. While we don't know where these circlemakers are, dimensionally or physically, what we do have is the documentation of at least 5,000 crop circles since 1989. Needless to say, there have been many conversations about these circles. All were eventually mowed down by combines early and late. Most of them have been extensively photographed, diagrammed, authenticated and mathematically inspected; five new math theorems have been discovered from analyzing crop circles. Obvious hoaxers and their funders have been exposed, revealing about 40 fake circles, here, here and here.

Still, according to Scientific America, crop circle's existence simply cannot be in our reality. They are clearly outside our 3D reality and the laws that govern that reality. America does not believe in crop circles and relegates them to the fantasy world. Yet, crop circles are saying something. Have we met beings that must use a rule similar to 'The Prime Directive" of Star Trek that says not to intrude into the natural workings of a civilization by offering otherworldly advice that may influence and alter our 'free will'? If so, we have to figure out our own Spirituality without much help from other beings or dimensions because overt acts and communications are a way of compromising free will, which is tantamount to breaking that Prime Directive. We are spiritual beings having a human experience, not the other way around. Crop circles are one way of getting their important info to us. I didn't make the rules.

We'll need to see a greater reality. The circlemakers are using the main means at their disposal, crop circles, to give us info about the greater universal reality. We have a place in that reality that extends beyond Earth to the Universe. It's very important that we create harmony and love on Earth because that affects the entire Universe. All is One.

The solution to Humanity's troubles and triumphs was always going to be spiritual instead of political. We'd need some Big Event to affect world change and create a new paradigm shift. Something to go 24/7 on all the news channels for weeks and months with continuous updates, so it never goes out of the news. It becomes the focal point of discussion on the new spiritual paradigm. Crop circles could become that focal point, something of a paradigm shifter.

However, the crop circle phenomena confronts and challenges the religious aspects of the dominant paradigm. There are powerful organizations working overtime to discredit these crop circles and the new paradigm. I won't pretend to know them all, but I might know their common link, Evangelical Christianity.

The corporate media suppresses most crop circle information, pro or con, or even their existence. The media doesn't want a discussion about crop circles, period. An initial inspection would create far too many questions and statements of fact. Any discussion is to be avoided. I believe it comes from a great fear of offending the Christian beliefs of many Americans and supposedly endangering their immortal Souls. The Evangelical Christians are very powerful in the world of American politics and media; too powerful, in my opinion. Because of that, the United States has the most corrupt Federal government agencies in a century. Compromised journalism feeds the corporate media and the pope and clergy of the Catholic Church are too political on the question of life and secular politics. Some of the Christian churches, particularly the Protestant, have a right wing political agenda backed by rigid religious dogma. They will never believe crop circles have anything to say. It's hard to get and give accurate info to the masses about the newer crop circles with their opposition. We'll have to get beyond that. They could stop all discussion. There is great Evangelical Christian fear of crop circles or any phenomena that threatens their point of view, reference points or the validity of their words. Is it "the Devil's Work"? "Man is made in the image of God" or "Thou shalt have no other Gods before me" might be put to the test if there are aliens who don't look like us but still believe in their God; or is it our God? Maybe their God is a verb (to love) like mine. It's hard to tell what gets worshiped on the altar of Christian fantasies.

The same American media that lies and distorts political reality does the same thing to spiritual literacy, crop circles and alternative viewpoints. When you see that media censor political opinions and actions that are out of the mainstream, imagine what is done when it is paranormal science, communication and crop circles that are out of the 'Dominant Paradigm'. The Crop Circle. Ridicule, then silence. Again, there could've been a conversation.

We are lied to about the basic existence of crop circles by people who are paid large amounts of money to misinform and distort what is a visual, well-researched and archived crop circle phenomena documented by a group of smart, dedicated people. It is hard to put down crop circles when proof of their existence is staring you right in the face. Science needs to be redefined. There are a dozen good books and a half dozen great DVDs on crop circles out there, yet many believe all crop circles are human fakery. No explanations for those folks. Nothing in the past explains anything new to them.

"We're in an all-out moral and spiritual civil war for the soul of America, and the record of American history is right at the heart of it." Rev. Peter Marshall, fundamentalist Christian fanatic, conservative reviewer of Texas school curriculum and rewriter of American history, giving reason to change the current schoolbooks and add more biblical references. June, 2009.

How do fundamentalist Christians view crop circles? Their religion teaches that humans are here for 75 years, or so. They must apologize to their God for all of the actions and misdeeds they think they shouldn't have done in those years. Then, they die and go to some sort of cloudy leisure club serenaded by stringed instruments while sitting on plush pillows with God throughout eternity. They believe there is only one life. It's Heaven or Hell forever with only one chance, so, man, you'd better choose correctly. Wow. This exceptionalism to all of creation tells of a mindset in everyday life in American culture too. It's an idea of entitlement made strictly on our perceptions through propaganda and religion. Americans feel they are entitled to disproportionate wealth and energy use by virtue of their religion and their birthright as American. Some believe Christianity is the dominant, and only, viewpoint on our soul and what happens to our soul. They think they are special; their god looks just like them. They are unique in every way and their worldview is the only view. They believe that Christianity and Capitalism are always joined in life against the evil Socialism. They think everyone who doesn't acknowledge their Christian God doesn't believe in any God. They are wrong on many other things too.

We should get all the real experts, shamans and uncompromised scientists together to study and analyze this phenomena. It could be a new paradigm. This is new energy and we haven't seen its like before. These crop circles are high art, an obvious intelligence and more than a little magical.

There could've been a conversation and the universe is still waiting.
