Today, I received a link to my site from Hope2012, a website that points out the many infractions of our constitutional rights and the ongoing spying on Americans by our own government. Now, the Obama administration wants to install tracking cookies on government websites. I have always been a strong critic of the government spying on American citizens, however, today I am engaging in an abrupt about face - and I'll explain my rationale for supporting limited spying on American citizens.

In these times of internal upheaval, which is escalating by the day, GOP operatives are infiltrating Town Hall meetings and advising their followers to carry concealed weapons. We have people like Glenn Beck begging his followers not to incite violence, however, if we read between the lines of his shrill lies and spinning of the truth, and other inflammatory statements he has made - that's exactly what he wants his followers to do. We have Sarah Palin spouting downright lies, and as Keith Olbermann pointed out, Sarah Palin is a "Clear and Present Danger" in regard spreading her inflammatory rhetoric which is meant to inflame the radical Republicans that hate President Obama and his policies, and rather than protesting in a democratic fashion, it's clear that they prefer violence over peaceful protests. A Gun toting nut was caught on camera at President Obama's recent Town Hall Meeting in New Hampshire, and O'Riley and Fox News continue to spew disinformation to their radical followers in spite of White House assurances that nothing of the sort is contained within the Bill. I received this email from the White House, as did other Americans, and it's clear that right-wing protesters are distorting the truth and are actively attempting to destabilize any meaningful Town Hall Meetings that would help to educate the American people on this much needed Bill:

We knew going into this effort that accomplishing comprehensive health insurance reform wasn't going to be easy. Achieving real change never is. The entrenched interests that benefit from the status quo always use their influence in Washington to try and keep things just as they are.

But don't be misled. We know the status quo is unsustainable. If we do nothing, millions more Americans will be denied insurance because of pre-existing conditions, or see their coverage suddenly dropped if they become seriously ill. Out-of-pocket expenses will continue to soar, and more and more families and businesses will be forced to deal with health insurance costs they can't afford.

That's the reality.

Americans deserve better. A recent article at Op-Ed News disclosed there are already "Death Committees" operating in the United States, and they belong to corporate owned health care insurance carriers who make life and death decisions on a daily basis. Read: Death Panels Already Exist, They are Called Corporate Health Insurance Bureaucrats I have made it clear that there are many policy decisions made by President Obama that I don't approve of, but since learning that he receives three or four death threats per day, that in itself is a dire warning that a segment of our population is being radicalized - and being a patriotic American I believe that these GOP operatives are attempting to destabilize our government, and anyone who dares to threaten the President of The United States deserves to be in prison and the key thrown away for good!

I will admit that I am somewhat astonished that these purveyors of hate and those that are attempting to incite violence have not been arrested and detained. We have to remember that during the last GOP Convention, several people were arrested and charged with terrorism - charges that were recently dropped. Freedom of speech, which we all cherish does not include inciting violence or disseminating information that is inflammatory and designed to eventually erupt in bloodshed. Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and other right-wing activists are actively attempting to disrupt Town Hall Meetings, some of which are sponsored by insurance companies - and some radicals are hell bent on carrying guns which has the potential to result in a bloodbath. What these operatives are doing is illegal and is designed to incite riots and even worse, to destabilize our entire government.

To me, these degenerates are no better than the Taliban or Al Qaeda, as their goal is the disruption of our democratic process which will eventually result in the shedding of innocent blood - and I believe what they are attempting is as close to treason as you can get - and it has to stop! Those who are actively attempting and planning these Town Hall disruptions need to be charged with conspiracy to incite violence - and if it takes "spying on them" to ferret out their leadership who are engaged in a wide conspiracy, then I believe it is perfectly legal to do so as long as the intent of the government is to charge these treasonous bastards with a crime and expose their web of deceit and indict those who are attempting to disrupt our government. Personally, I tire of the ongoing tirades by Glen Beck and his ilk, and I believe that the Obama administration has to react in a proactive fashion just as they target other potential terrorists that seek to harm the United States.

What we are witnessing is a double standard; during the Bush regime, if Liberal/Progressives attempted to incite violence the way these GOP operatives are doing, you can bet your last dollar that they would have been arrested and prosecuted! We all have to ask ourselves why the Obama administration is allowing this to happen??? Today, I stumbled upon an article that indicates the government may be acting to halt these radicals - and whether we like it or not, when hate groups are organizing at a much faster rate that ever witnessed before, it may be necessary to infiltrate and eventually take whatever action is necessary to ensure the Democratic processes of the United States are not undermined by those who choose violence over peaceful protests:

A recent article I stumbled across suggests that the government may be working toward disbanding these radical groups - and the FEMA Internment Camps that Liberal/Progressives worried that Bush was building would house his most vocal critics may soon be used in an effort to stabilize the rapid radicalization of America by right-wing hate groups and those who purposely disseminate false information to further inflame America's most radical elements:

On August 11, 2009 a job listing for the National Guard was posted on Monster.com. The position title is Internment/Resettlement Specialist where the individual" "will ensure the smooth running of military confinement/correctional facility or detention/internment facility, similar to those duties conducted by civilian Corrections Officers. This will require you to know proper procedures and military law; and have the ability to think quickly in high-stress situations. Specific duties may include assisting with supervision and management operations; providi8ng facility security; providing custody, control, supervision and escort; and counseling individual prisoners in rehabilitative programs." I find this trend toward violence and disinformation extremely troubling, and to close out part 1 of this two part essay, I'm reprinting a comment that was made at RAW Story which addressed the threats of violence that we hear from right-wing purveyors of hate:

You have a right to dissent. You do not have a right to unlawful force.

If you plan or engage in violent actions, you are not real Americans.

That would make you terrorists. However, we are not afraid of you.

If you attack the lawfully elected government or citizens of our beloved country, we will crush you. But we will do so by the book.

You can express your anger in words; if you resort to bullets, it will mean the end of you, not us.

Progressives are not helpless wimps. Many of us are capable of self-defense by deadly force. We will never be vigilantes, but neither will we be victims.

To Mr. Brown, you have my compliments! I believe that your comment echoes the beliefs of President Obama's base and those of us who believe that free speech and peaceful demonstration is a right of every American, however, when it becomes commonplace for people to joke about assassinating our President and disrupting the political process through violence and intimidation - right-wing America should heed that comment and understand that even though we believe in free speech and peaceful protests - we will not be intimidated or allow violent acts against our government, and this is a cause that we will protect and uphold with our lives.
