Everyone of us who had been a adult and a parent knows what happens when a gang of  shitty little brats is caught  with their pants down in doing something ludicrous, like  torturing an animal,  bullying a weakling or  touting a girl.  The brats   show their little teeth and engage in  several stages of  the defensive behavior:

Stage 1-Denial:

-We didn’t   do it.

-We couldn’t do such a thing. Why don’t you believe us?

-We were not even there. He (she, them) can confirm that we were not even there.

Stage 2- When confronted with  the  evidence:

 -We didn’t mean it.

-The victim is lying. It wasn’t like that at all.

-It was an accident.

If Stage 4  is reached it is an indication that you are dealing with spoiled but  normal kids who just are stupid. But if not- then  you are dealing with  evil  shitty brats who  happened to  be in power or in service of the power in our country until recently and now are caught in   the  torture scandal.  And then   you   watch  all the stages from 1 to 3 in the grotesque sequence of  adult  howling. It is like   a TV with three different screens:

Screen #1 is filled with  Bush, Cheney, Rove and company.

We don’t torture (that’s Bush not long ago). It wasn’t  torture at all: if I can stay on my feet for a day, so can them (the  victims- MS).  Ok, we tortured  them but  it was necessary. Some people could get carried away but we always wanted  to correct  things. We prevented bigger disasters. We  protected American lives (that’s the most malicious- they try to make us all accomplices- MS). Let Obama publish all the papers- we will see who really was involved and also will see how good it was to do it.

Screen #2  is occupied by the  talking heads.  Here we find  such characters as Chris Mathews,  Joe  (the Moron)  Scarborough,  Sean Hannity,  Rush Limbaugh, Admiral Blair, numerous  columnists, etc. 

That torture thing.. Let’s debate. Let’s make a poll. Polls say American people prefer torture in some circumstances.  Who are we to state otherwise? FDR interned the Japanese- Americans, Woodrow Wilson passed a Sedition Act, Abraham Lincoln abandoned the Habeas Corpus for a while. Let’s denounce  them all now. We have  an economic crisis and are surrounded by enemies.  Who cares about those  terrorists? It was no big deal: our soldiers go through the similar ordeals  in the boot camps.  It is all that push from the left. Leftists, they do not care for our security. If Obama  starts the  prosecutions the professionals (? MS) will  never be able to fight  the terrorists.   I can be waterboarded for fun (Hannity). It  all came from the Chinese: we do not  do such things in America. 

Screen #3 is occupied by apologists. Those are the ones whom we only get when adults  screw up; children usually do not enjoy the support of the adults.

It was always that way. Ok, if  I had to protect my family I would torture people too. If other nations do that why shouldn’t we?  Those terrorists, they wouldn’t hesitate to do anything. It is only the leftists, armchair warriors who know nothing about the real world are the sissies  who want to destroy our country. Obama is a socialist anyway; who cares what he does. Bush was a saint. If there was something  wrong, consider the  situation after 9/11,   If we open those investigations let the Dems also be indicted. It is all scape- goating to blame the Jews (yes, they say that too- MS). Israel is torturing and they curbed the terrorism. We should learn from them.   White people are torturing  all others anyway and nobody cares. Why such a fuss about some scummy Arabs?  It was no big deal.  It is not a Gulag.   Consider the damage to the country and its reputation if  it all comes out. Let’s debate, debate… debate.    Lefties and progressives are loonies.  Obama will regret that.

All of those tunes of howling compound into the  one delirious Message of Malice, ’You all  hate us and want to get us! We are afraid!.’

Yes, that’s true. The shitty brats, those who howl from all those Screens have one thing in common: they are scared to death. They are scared of the truth. They are scared of the accountability. They are scared down to their balls of  those who might consider them as inconvenient  witnesses if  it comes to this. They are cowardly, mean, malicious goons and they are scared. What a delightful picture indeed!  But there is more.

Our country is experiencing  THE MOMENT OF TRUTH.  It is not about torture or abuse or even justice although those things are very important. It is about who is in charge. If we go on with those investigations,  if we bring the perpetrators to justice- that will be the sign that WE THE PEOPLE are still in charge. If we bend under pressure, if we foil the investigations and no one is held accountable-that will be the sign that THEY, THE SHITTY BRATS are in charge. That’s the  underlying cause of all the ruckus, the real stake in the struggle, the primary goal ahead.  That’s what we all fight for- the FATE of our nation.  It can either be the real shining beacon for all people on Earth or   the dark pit on the bottom of which shitty snakes hiss in the paroxysm of the eternal malice. The choice is ours. It is now or never.
