Protest over use of foreign labour

By Elsie Brenner

Hundreds of demonstrators have protested outside an oil refinery against the use of foreign workers on a -200 million construction project.

While PM Gordon Brown makes promises and gives reassurances on the matter of the declining economy and the massive increases in unemployment, and, while major cities in England have been color coded according to risk of civil unrest, four being awarded a "red", an indicator of being at major risk of riot as a result of joblessness and homelessness, we have this today

"Hundreds of demonstrators have protested outside an oil refinery against the use of foreign workers on a £200 million construction project."

Gordon Brown allowing hundreds of foreign workers, who will not be residents rather parasites, to steal precious jobs off locals. It is not about who is the best man for the job but more about a great big slap in the face of locals. This is nothing new, millions of East European workers are already all over the service sector and building industry, many take multiple jobs and return to their countries on their holiday breaks. There is no sense of community at all in the towns and cities of this country and racism has always runs deep in many areas. Now add to that the deliberate practice of taking on foreign workers rather than giving jobs to the citizens of this country -- this by no means an accident or simply a matter of economics but has been a deliberate policy of government employed to fuel antagonisms between natives and ethnic minorities, many of whom are refugees (often from foreign conflicts of Britain's own making). And the result of this friction is not too difficult to predict-- whites turning on ethnic minorities, whoever they happen to be. Is Gordon Brown just too stupid to see this? Not likely, not while he keeps telling the British public how much he's trying to help the unemployed.
