Splitzvillers Forced to Stay Spliced

By Sandy Sand

Can't live with 'em. Now we really can't live without them.

::::::::

It’s not anything new, staying together because of the kids, or because you can’t afford to split, but not being able to cut the checkbook in half and living apart is keeping more couples together than ever before in today’s economy that’s gone further south than a lot of marriages.

According to a story by the AP: With the recession and the collapse of the real estate market, more couples who have broken up are still living under the same roof, according to judges and divorce lawyers.

Saying he’s “never seen anything like it in his 40 years as an attorney and judge,” Judge John C. Lenderman of Florida, said about a third of his cases are related to couples with homes in foreclosure or the couples are having difficulty selling them.
