It's a new world. This old partisan can lay down the pen.

A breath of fresh air wafted across the Ole Miss. stage tonight.

Youth will be served, and Obama put the old notions to bed.

Obamas' civility and depth of knowledge on the issues of the day, stood in stark contrast to sloganeering and slurs that have dominated the body politic for far to long.

It seemed to me like a contest between a gentleman and a bully. McCain came to the debate with the old notions and instincts of a man in the battle too long. A man only half convinced of the neocon notions that he has embraced. A man who has lost his perspective and swings wildly about, while his opponent came for rational discussion on the issues, and who with laser-like precision focused his energy on those issues.

If there ever was an argument for real change, Obama made that argument tonight.

I will leave it to the public to decide who "won" the debate, but tonight I think America won. I think they have seen the American Dream renewed.
