Help Dr. Phil

By virginius "gin" arnold

Dr. Phil says he has not yet decided who he will vote for. I think Dr. Phil is lying.

::::::::

Dr. Phil made an appearance on CNN this past Tuesday night and when asked his, "psychobabble"- opinion of Sarah Palin, he gave her a glowing image but stated he had not yet made up his mind as to who he will vote for. Now I can understand how people who do not pay attention to the political landscape  can be yet undecided, but someone of Dr. Phil's stature has not yet made up his mind-----come on. Does he expect me to believe that 49 days before this historical election he is waiting to discover something that will aid him in deciding who he votes for? If that is the case, then may I suggest to him that he seek out one of his colleagues who can help him with "decision making"-. Could it be, that Dr. Phil is casting a plug to both candidates to see if there is an offer for him in the next administration-----maybe Secretary of Health?

I looked up Dr. Phil in Wikipedia and there are some interesting entries referencing Phillip Calvin McGraw born in Vinita, Oklahoma in 1950. Seems after he got his degree from Midwestern State University he went into the construction business while working on his graduate degree. After that he went into practice with his father, Joe McGraw who had a private psychology practice. The two then joined with Thelma Box, a successful Texas business woman and they started Pathways, that later became Choices. This was a seminar to "assist people in living their lives with clarity and passion"-. It would appear that McGraw got his ideas from Box for his first book but it seems that Box has never been mentioned by McGraw. There is also this---
 ---------In 1989, McGraw was sanctioned by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists for an ethical violation involving a 19-year-old patient and employee (see "Criticisms & controversies: Sanctioned for unethical behavior", below). Due to the sanctions, McGraw was unable to practice psychology independently.[12] Friction between Phillip and his father increased to the point that McGraw seldom spoke with his father, and his contempt for him became obvious.[11] There is also this entry: McGraw shifted focus in 2003""4 to emphasize weight loss shows, books and products. His sisters Deana and Brenda and nephew Tony were among the featured testimonials on the Dr. Phil show.[15] Within a few years, a Federal Trade Commission (FTC) probe and class-action lawsuit forced him to exit the weight loss business (see "Criticisms & controversies: Weight loss products", below.

Come on Dr. Phil, "you can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of us all of the time"-.  Get help while you still have time------this election is too important.
