The following is a POV on Alaska Governor Sarah Palin by a female resident of Alaska:

"I think you and I should have gotten into politics. Sarah
Palin pulled a lucky card and went from a small town mayor of a town where
there are more crackheads than dictionaries to being our state governer. [sic]
She's a  snowmachine riding ex-beauty queen who appeals to the
Republicans who wanted  a quick fix from the mess they got us into up here with our criminal  politicians, (have you heard of Ted Stevens now being
 indicted and the  recent crackdown of the FBI on many of our politicians
 several of whom are now in jail). She appealed to the republican vote, which is stronger up here in this oil state, as a voice for change from the old
regime."
 
"No I don't like Sarah Palin and I definitely didn't
vote for her but I knew from the primaries she would win. She's pretty, she
looks good. She has very little experience and is in way over her head as governer of Alaska."
 
"She has tried to win our popularity here in Alaska by
giving every man woman  and child a 1200 dollar energy rebate check which is coming out this fall.  Much of this will got o buy stuff like drugs and alcohol
and big screen tv's  and fill a few tanks of gas for our big boy trucks etc. It
is a quick fix  and will get us into problems in the future here as people
will expect  handouts every year and want them to be bigger and biger.
We are already  bribed with our permanent fund dividend check which is hush money for us to  rollover and play dead and let the oil companies do
whatever they want to  destroy the environment."
 
"Sarah Palin was 7 months pregnant last year as our new
governor before she  let the cat out of the bag that she was pregnant with her 5th child. She's a  hot babe and covered it up well with the right fashions. Her remark was that  it was no big deal and with her last child the pregnancy had her miss only 1  day of work. Sad to say that poor number 5 was born with Downs Syndrome. So  has she missed more than one day of work to care for this special needs  child at the beginning of his life, I don't know, he is completely out of  the picture. She named him Van Halen, after her favorite band."
 
"I personally think Obama should have picked Hilary as his running mate, if  he had had the guts to handle her power.  Putting Sarah on McCain's ticket  may pull some of the voters who want a woman in office and might have voted  for Hilary, thinking that Sarah Palin can represent that. .
She is no match  in intelligence or experience. She can probably ride a
snowmachine better  than Hilary can though, if that is what the country
wants.Watch out. McCain  strategy in picking her will complement him. He's
 ancient, she's fresh new  and young ."

" McCain will want to open the Arctic National Wildlife
 Reguge for oil  exploration, and Sarah, representing Alaska  may be his
 ticket to the oil,  which is what the rebublicans have been all about for a
 long time. That and  offshore drilling, which is their quick fix for the mess
 thay've gotten us  into."
 

"NO Sarah Palin, No way!  She is a nice person though, I
suppose."
