Holy Name 6 Face Death Threats, Need Letters of Support

By Kevin Gosztola

Please send letters of support to my OpEdNews account or post them in the comments section.

Remember when this happened a week ago?

Peace Activists Stage "Die-In", Interrupt Easter Mass

In the broad context of the antiwar movement, this was an action that greatly energized the movement to end the war in Iraq. People came together quickly to show solidarity and contribute money to bail the Holy Name 6 out of jail.

What was so great about the action was that it brought the war home to Americans.

While some were upset that the six disrupted worship, think about this: Most Iraqis have not been able to pray in peace since the U.S. invaded.

Currently, the Holy Name 6 are facing death threats and are hiding out in a collective.

The Holy Name 6 have been vilified by the media. Lies spread throughout the Chicago community have led to them being ostracized greatly. They need your letters of support so that they can stand up fearlessly and use this action to build support for more resistance and opposition to the Iraq war.

Please send letters to my OpEdNews account or post them in the comments section. The letters will be sent to the emails of the Holy Name 6 so they can use the letters to motivate themselves to stay strong.

The Holy Name 6 are suffering for our sins. We must come together and support them for having the courage to resist when the majority of Americans refuse to take the kind of bold action that they did.
