Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul, each in different ways, have rocked the conventional political wisdom in our country, and instead of being “politically correct”, each in his own style have been honest with the country and stood-up for our constitutional values and the rule of law - proving the population is desperate for the truth, and the Mainstream News Media has been exposed to be cowardly and complicit with the Bush administration and corporatism (a polite word for fascism.); true investigative reporting is almost dead - and the Washington Post ( The Washington Compost would be a more befitting title), once a bellwether for breaking news that actually affected our lives and brought-down a President is now a government mouthpiece and their rank cowardice and fear and/or collusion with this administration will never be forgiven by the American public.

The New York Times (New York Crimes…) has on occasion presented us with some scathing editorials, some good, others mediocre at best, yet they still stand in humiliation for not breaking the scandal about US Wiretapping before the 2004 Presidential elections, and no matter how you parse it, the NY Times is partially responsible for Bush maintaining power and wrecking havoc on our economy - with Bush and Cheney wiping their butt’s with the United States Constitution. A President and Vice-President remain in power who make Nixon seem like a choir-boy; Watergate doesn’t compare with the least of their crimes, however that was before our media and Congress became compromised by what Ron Paul refers to as “soft fascism.”

Congressman Robert Wexler has to be commended on his efforts to bring the Cheney Impeachment issue back into the news, and even for a United States Congressman, he faced a complicit and cowardly MSM who refused to publish his Op-Ed’s, and finally, the Miami Herald broke the silence, and many others followed suit - an action which could be the beginning of the MSM coming to the realization that Americans want the truth - and their refusal to provide us with real news is affecting their bottom-lines; it used to be that car salesmen and attorneys were ranked at the bottom of the list for their “trust factor”, but now that “soft fascism” is beginning to dominate America, the bulk of the MSM are viewed as cowards and liars - and millions view almost anything they publish with a wary eye, wondering whether it’s truth or propaganda, or a clever assimilation for the two in an attempt to lend credibility to their lies! Congressman Wexler and the Miami Herald should both be commended on their honesty LINK, although admittedly, it took some time before the Miami Herald finally published the story - but late is better than never, and I hope that everyone writes to the Editor and strongly thanks them for having the courage to defy the Bush administration. We must recognize and laud those who have the courage to defy an administration that uses fear and intimidation as weapons in their plans to dismantle the constitution, and as others see the public holding those in high esteem that value liberty over fascism - the beginning of the end actually impacts those who are enemies of our way of life.

There is a War on Christianity, but the combatants are Christians themselves, and true Christianity is starting to win against the radicals that have been attempting to hijack Christianity and use it for their own political and financial gain. You won’t necessarily hear it on the American MSM, however an article on the BBC illustrates how in Republican Kansas, things are beginning to change, and again, we must praise those who are attempting to bring back the true beliefs of Christianity:

It is this writer’s belief that S 1959 is a Bill we cannot forget, and we need to keep demanding answers and force it into the Presidential debates - Republican and Democratic alike so the public can become aware of this assault on our constitution.

Predicts Pakistan will not dissolve, but US lacks options dealing with nuke-armed country

The death of Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto has left the US lacking in options for dealing with the tumultuous, nuclear-armed, militant-rich nation and has raised the possibility that the country’s weapons will fall into the wrong hands, leading to a possible apocalypse, a foreign policy expert tells RAW STORY.

“When people aren’t looking, you have a question of command and control of their nuclear warheads,” Steve Clemons, a senior fellow at The New America Foundation, said in an interview Thursday.

Clemons said Bhutto’s assassination could cause the “Doomsday Clock” to tick forward. Most of all, the American public has been in desperate need of true Presidential leadership, and when we examine what Australians are being advised to do to insure their survival, or at least weather the storm better in the event of a pandemic breaking out, our own government has been derelict in their duties to inform the public of the extreme risk we face and as a country, we are ill prepared to meet any disastrous condition that could have been mitigated by a strong President - one that looks to our future beyond his endless wars and enriching those “good Republicans” who lack in experience yet are placed in positions of authority simply because of their donations and loyalty to the Bush concept of maximizing the rich and decimating the poor and middle-class of America. Even Hong Kong has advised it’s residents to prepare for disaster, but Americans are still lulled into complacency by a President that is more interested in urging Americans to buy more consumer goods to prop-up an economy that is rapidly showing signs of collapse on a scale that will make the Great Depression pale in comparison to what we may face as soon as early or mid 2008:

If you live in the United States and you’re a member of the lower middle-class or the poor, most residents are barely able to feed their families much less stockpile weeks of essentials to ride-out a pandemic has been forecast to kill millions if human to human transmission becomes a reality - and the WHO is extremely worried that exactly that scenario could happen at any time - and then the time to prepare has passed, and millions will die because they are unprepared because of the government’s refusal to issue the appropriate warnings and the true state of our economy.

The drought in the Midwest has caused wheat prices to rise to unheard of levels LINK, further complicated by the rise in fuel costs. A responsible President, concerned about inflation and rapidly rising costs of everything which is transported could have mitigated the high cost of gas and diesel fuel by advising Americans to stay closer to home on weekends, cut travel and conserve fuel in order to force the market, which is driven by Middle-Eastern fears of war and public consumption - however it’s evident the Bush administration favors huge profits for the energy sector at the expense of the Average American. America is at war, yet despite our financial crisis which is getting worse by the day, the President hasn’t requested personal sacrifice to help reign-in an inflation rate that is causing essential food and everyday goods that are necessary for the survival of all Americans, rich and poor. If a flu pandemic does break out, Bush and Cheney will be held responsible for the death of hundreds of thousands, possibly even millions of Americans based on their utter disregard for the health and safety of America as a whole, not the chosen few who will be able to buy-up what they need while the rest of us are wondering how to survive. I push disaster preparedness on this site - and if you Google what other countries are urging their citizens to do, we as a nation would be well-advised to heed the warnings of governments that are honest with their people rather than urging us to spend, spend, spend, not on items to prepare for disaster, but goods that prop-up the economy as it continues to spiral out of control:

I think they should be more concerned. This is not to say that the risk of a disorderly adjustment is imminent, but the problem is growing, and if a disorderly adjustment does take place, it will be very costly and disruptive to the world economy.

The most visible aspect of the global imbalances problem is a very large deficit in the current account of the balance of payments of the United States – amounting to about 6.25% of GDP. The main problem is that in the United States savings are too low. 2008 will be a pivotal year in American politics; our nation will throw-off the fascism that is gripping every segment of our nation, or the enemies of democracy will prevail - turning America into a sad representation of how democracies fail when corporations dictate domestic and foreign policy rather than the will of the people; there is hope, and that hope exits in the power of the Internet to awaken a sleeping America and force Congress and the MSM to represent the people - a task that only the people themselves can accomplish. We stand at the tipping-point between fascism and total economic collapse - and your voices are making a difference. Congress is beginning to listen, and the MSM will either continue to support lawlessness in our government or will rebel in favor of freedom and liberty – and it is all of us standing in solidarity that will bring upon change.

The future we face is not set in concrete, and as long as people keep reacting and demanding answers, we stand a chance - but if we let down our guard and “hope that someone else” will arise to cure our problems, we will be doomed to failure; the people of the United States must understand that Congress and the MSM have betrayed America - and all that’s left between freedom and liberty is you - and the many millions of patriotic Americans that are now speaking-up and demanding justice and freedom. Keep up the fight, make your voice heard each and every day, and as we awaken the rest of America, the sheer weight of our voices can and will move America in a different direction - but if we discontinue the constant barrage against Congress and a complicit MSM, our silence will guarantee our eventual fall into tyranny and despair. The choice is ours, and I for one still believe in the American spirit - and the universal outrage and response to S 1959 proves that we are making an impact, and that’s about the best news I have. Keep up the pressure; it’s causing a stir on Capitol Hill and the more of us that become involved, the better our chances increase at defeating the enemies of America that dwell within our own government.
