KARL ROVE TO BECOME NEWSWEEK CONTRIBUTOR: DISGRACEFUL!
By Andrew Schmookler
News Flash: Newsweek gives platform to the American Goebbels. Is there no limit to the disgrace our media have become?

News Item:
KARL ROVE TO BECOME NEWSWEEK CONTRIBUTOR
New York--Karl Rove, the former White House deputy chief of staff, will become a Newsweek contributor, offering occasional opinion pieces to the pages of the magazine and to Newsweek.com.
"Newsweek has a long tradition of asking practitioners and opinion-makers to offer our readers the benefits of their experience in occasional opinion essays," said Newsweek Editor Jon Meacham. "Whether one agrees or disagrees with Karl, there is no arguing that he has been a critical player in the political world with insights and experiences that we think will give our readers something unique. A great recent example is George Stephanopoulos, who did terrific work for us after he left the Clinton White House in the second term."

Commentary:
As if Karl Rove is, like Stephanopoulos (or Bill Moyers, for that matter, LBJ's former press secretary), just another fellow who has worked for an American president.
More like Goebbels.
As if someone's being a "critical player" in the political world justifies giving them a huge platform for spewing their propaganda into the stream of the national consciousness.
As if Karl Rove has ever shown the least proclivity to speak the truth unless it served his political agenda, or the least inhibition about speaking lies if those served his agenda better.
A disgrace!
