The "vast right-wing conspiracy" was and is for real. It's been here since 1992 and remains to plague and subvert American democracy into the next decade.

Whitewater to Blackwater,The Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy

I’ll never forget my “shock and awe” on December 9, 1992 when Lame-Duck President George Bush Sr. sent troops to Somalia on a supposed “humanitarian mission”. “Bush/humanitarian mission” sounded like an oxymoron to me, it was “pretty/ugly” or “wicked/good”, I couldn’t decide which. A decades-long career of installing, backing, arming and aiding the worst human-rights violating, ruthless, rightist, military dictatorships on Earth, including Saddam Hussein, and a sudden “humanitarian mission” after getting his ass kicked out of the White House? I didn’t buy it for a minute. But everybody else did.

Bush the 1st had, just one month before, been repudiated, dis-elected, humiliated and embarrassed by the American people and Bill Clinton, and I thought to myself that evil SOB is taking revenge on America and he’s going to get a bunch of Americans killed in Somalia and hang the unsuspecting Clinton with a diplomatic/military nightmare before he even takes office. And he did, and they died and it’s on Clinton’s record. Just like Bush Sr. planned. Those Bushes are hateful, vindictive, vengeful people….evil evil people.

Somalia marked the beginning of the “vast right-wing conspiracy” as I know it, and the concerted effort to sabotage Clinton, the Democrats, and eventually send Junior Bush to the White House.

It succeeded brilliantly but the results were an absolute world-wide disaster. And a compliant country full of stupid, gullible dupes, otherwise known as the American people/electorate, were required. Let’s go back.

So Clinton takes office, Bush Sr’s “BS 35-country coalition” for Somalia never materializes and twenty Americans get killed and dragged around Mogadishu on TV before Clinton realizes the folly and pulls out. Black-eye #1. But the dogs were on him, and they were never to stop hounding him until….well they still haven’t stopped….they’re on Hillary now.

It seemed to me I was the only one who noticed Somalia for what it was, and that included Clinton himself, though Hillary, a few years and a dozen baseless scandals later, was to recognize the “vast right-wing conspiracy”.

In 1993 the GOP was on the outside looking in. But the GOP “outsiders” had a lot of money and smarts, and they had a huge band of loyalists still on the payroll inside, including the US Supreme Court appointed by Bush Senior and Reagan, who among other things were to rule that a sitting President could be civilly sued igniting the Paula Jones and other Scaife-financed lawsuits that finally lead to the ridiculous impeachment of Clinton over perjury in a lawsuit thrown out of court as being without merit. A ruling with which the US Supreme Court has reversed itself on several occasions concerning the current administration. Just ask Judicial Watch, Sierra Club etc.

And the GOP vast right-wing conspiracy had the mainstream corporate for-profit media. They still have them. They own the Tim Russerts and Time Magazines, and they use them liberally. Make no mistake about it.

If you think there’s no vast right-wing conspiracy, just compare Clinton’s BloJob lie to Junior Bush, State-of-the-Union address, WMD’s, Saddam’s “nucular” program, UN presentation, CIA leak cover-up etc. and the dozens of other deadly serious lies he has trafficked in which have not caused him a moment of discomfort, but have gotten thousands of Americans killed and cost the US tax-payer, (the 95% poorest tax-payers anyway), a trillion dollars, and cost a million other lives. And no one dares breathe the word impeachment. Even with a majority Democratic House.

From 1992-94 the stupid Democrats were characteristically disunited and lost their House majority as Gingrich and the “politics of anger” took control. The dumbass American people obliged them. So Hillary Clinton’s 1993 health-care plan was laughed out of Washington, and the conspiracy started the endless House investigations of Clinton and the Democrats. And of course there was White-water and all the other absolutely nonsensical years-long investigations by Bush loyalists inside the DOJ, the media and outside the government. All such numerous baseless lawsuits, investigations and scandals, caused endless distractions and were crippling in many ways to Clinton’s ability to govern. More than 1,000 subpoenas were issued to Clinton insiders, associates and many who had never even met Clinton. All part of the design of the vast right-wing conspiracy. Not one serious crime was uncovered.

In spite of all these conspiracies to get Clinton, which dogged him till the day he left office, he remained ever-popular with the people, and the GOP powers had to “pull in their horns” for the 1996 election which would have ruined them. They wisely bided their time. Junior wasn’t ready for the White House anyway (and never would be as we now know).

The dark cloud of election 1996 presented several silver linings for the vast right wing conspiracy and they took full advantage. The silver linings were the opportunity to sacrifice all GOP not “in the loop”. So Senator Bob Dole’s famous “it’s his turn” Presidential campaign of 1996 came and went with a few good-natured laughs and a trouncing in November. With Dole went the last powerful moderate Republican and anyone so associated. And former VP Quayle, the Bush family disloyally threw to the dogs in 1996, to make way for Junior in 2000. How convenient it all was! Like 9/11 and Iraq all the chips fell right into place. The perfect plan was working like a charm.

So ruthless and cynical was this conspiracy that the GOP/Bush machine even co-opted the suicide of Vince Foster, the Clinton's closest friend, which he himself, in his “suicide note” (resignation letter never delivered and torn up) attributed to the politics of personal destruction:

"I was not meant for the job or the spotlight of public life in Washington. Here ruining people is considered sport."

and accused the Clintons of actually murdering him. Incredible soulless evil!! Just unthinkable! The frigging Nazis and Commies wouldn’t have resorted to such meanness and cruelty. But for the vast right wing conspiracy all was fair game and Limbaugh, Falwell & Co obliged them by publicizing various murder conspiracy “theories”, the plethora of nonsensical crap feeding the flames of personal destruction.

So ruthless and cynical was the conspiracy that they, and their mainstream media minions, made David Koresch, a serial child-rapist, kidnapper, police-mass-murderer into a poster-boy religious-rights martyr, 1st & 2nd Amendment anti-government folk-hero, which Tim McVeigh, the Oklahoma City Bomber took to heart. That cost a few hundred American lives. And it was all hung on Clinton. The dullard American people swallowed it “lock stock and barrel”?

The vast right-wing conspiracy never missed a beat. They stayed on the job. Every speck of innuendo and accusation, grain of truth or not, that they could create...every resentful madman and woman they could find... they turned into another Clinton scandal. And it was all….all of it…every bit of it…pure utter bullshit and lies. To the conspirators delight Americans were discovered to have an insatiable appetite for bullshit and lies. They loved the politics of personal destruction.

And after 6+ years none of it stuck. Not one iota of merit or truth to the whole thing. So without any real case, $100,000,000 taxpayer dollars later, the vast right-wing conspiracy impeached Clinton anyway, which they had planned to do all along. (Like No WMDs 9/11 conspiracy and the invasions of Iraq years later.) The GOP conspirators had the votes in the House and knew they’d lose in the Senate. But it was the idea of impeachment and their ability to do it that counted. And they made the most of it. But it cost the country and American people dearly.

Why the American people re-elected that GOP House and that GOP Senate who impeached Clinton will forever remain a mystery to me, and failing of the Democrats, for which I personally will never forgive either of them. Especially after I saw the laugh-show disgraceful prosecution and trial the GOP put America through on the international stage. Not a shred of real high crime or anything of any consequence emerged; a case that wouldn’t have lasted one hour in any self-respecting District Court in America.

The Democrats were stained by it, and they seemed to agree. And the GOP conspirators, instead of the stupid loudmouth dickheads spewing utter clap-trap that they are, thanks to their corporate mainstream media, came off as self-righteous pious do-gooders who unfortunately were foiled by the ungodly Democrats in the Senate. Amazing!!.

Note to America: The same corporate media and GOP who orchestrated and cheered the impeachment of Clinton, made Al qaeda a world super-power and brought us the invasion of Iraq, are now trying to make election 2008 a contest when they know in real democracy the GOP would get about 10% of the vote, after their last 7 years of rule.

Finally, after 8 years of agony, came election 2000. And Clinton, who was at about 70%+- approval, in spite of impeachment and all else, couldn’t run again. He embraced Al Gore as his successor and Al Gore shunned him and treated him with utter contempt and cold disassociation.

Al Gore had bought into the vast right-wing conspiracy too. Clinton was the greatest thing that had happened to the Democrats in decades and they disowned him in 2000. And they lost….almost….Well a 523,000 Gore victory was close enough for the vast right-wing conspiracy and Bush’s brother and the compliant US Supreme Court to elevate Junior to the White House through “extra-democracy” machinations. (In what other court case in American history, except Bush VS Gore US Supreme Court, could judges appointed by one party’s father sit in judgment on the case? Not a word from the media or the Democrats!?) The vast right-wing conspiracy had succeeded.

Of course the American people were left hanging in air by all this, because they stupidly didn’t elect Gore by enough margin to keep the GOP neo-Nazis from infesting the White House. And so they did.

Unfortunately, the vast right-wing conspiracy had gotten Junior Bush into the White House on the anti-government, anti-tax…anti-citizen agenda. They knew how to get elected….how to cut taxes for their wealthy sponsors who had suffered so long and bribed them with so much money….but they didn’t know how to govern a country. They pillaged and bankrupted America, got thousands of Americans killed, bogged America down in several unwinable wars, destroyed and repudiated all of America’s international treaties and alliances and otherwise destroyed America as it once was,…the land of freedom, equality and opportunity.

So now we have gone from Whitewater to Blackwater, a taxpayer-paid private mercenary army in Iraq (never mentioned by the media), who, unlike the Clintons, really did commit numerous crimes including murder and smuggling massive quantities of American-made arms and WMDs into the Middle-East and the hands of America’s terrorist enemies, while collecting $800,000,000, (that’s almost a billion $) in tax-paid contracts from Bush/Cheney.

Yes the vast right wing conspiracy succeeded and that, as I knew back in 1992, did not bode well for America and Americans. But the victims, the American people who paid the price in blood and money have only themselves to blame. 30% of them remain dittoheads on the rabid anti-liberal line. 50% more of them are stupid beyond redemption. And the vast right-wing conspiracy remains….waiting in the wings, intent on destroying Hillary or whoever, and dressing Jeb Bush (who has conveniently brushed aside election 2008) for the future.

I have no doubt they will succeed. They have the media and the money and they know “we the people” are weak-minded gullible stupid people ever malleable and compliant to self-destruction.
