Making the Case to KEEP Troops in Iraq 

This whole Iraq war is turning into something we have not expected and is only going to get worse because we are neglecting a very critical thing and that is DU. Depleted Uranium. You/ Progressives/ Democrats/ Americans want the troops to come back to spread and contaminate the rest of us living here in the USA?

Soldiers go back to the community, make love to their wives, girlfriends, and settle back to watch them become ill and die?  People have not really stopped to think about what we are in for. We want to end the occupation and symbolically bring the troops back, to contaminate North America? Hey hold on minute? I didn’t support them going over there to kill thousands with DU, become contaminated so they can come back and wreck my life!  We told them NOT to fight this war. You would think they learned from Iraq #1 with the Gulf War Syndrome. Come to find out it is not a Syndrome anymore. It is Depleted Uranium and it is coming home to roost in hometown Mom and Pop. 

Fellow Americans need to know the truth that bringing US troops home is a terrorist act, by infecting and contaminating our communities with DU soldiers. The following is my letter to Brian Ross of ABC news......  

Do you guys really do investigations? DO you know anything about DU Depleted Uranium? Do you know how many tons were blasted into Iraq during the first Kuwait invasion compared to the 2nd time? And don't forget Afghanistan. Did you know that Gulf War Syndrome has been identified as DU? Do you have any idea how many soldiers have died who served in the Kuwait campaign? I know these figures. But do you? Are you going to tell the American people the truth about DU or is it too hard for ABC to do?

Bush wants to bring back contaminated DU troops! If we bring back 160,000 troops who are definitely DU carriers back to society in America it will infect and contaminate the rest of us here....isn't that really a TERRORIST ACT?  I am talking about some serious bad things happening to our country. The American people should be made aware and consider that TROOPS should NOT come back for the sake of the health of American citizens.

Do we want 160,000 or more deformed children, with women contracting the contamination? And let’s not forget our gay men in uniform who could easily spread this situation into the Gay community. We are talking about something here that is worse than AIDS, because AIDS is treatable, but DU is not.

None of the News Corps say a word about DU. Why? This has got to be the biggest story, since 911, since the invasion of Iraq, since Katrina, since the Tsunami. Where are you guys? All Americans should get a clue, and get glued to educating yourself about DU.

If I get DU I will kill myself. Ever wonder why so many US soldiers have killed themselves? And I won't come into society to pass it on to my family; probably the reason soldiers kill themselves. It’s certainly the most honorable thing they could ever do to protect America.

You think the military is going to take the time to test all Vets before they return to the USA? And since DU is a time release poison, it appears when it is good and ready. Everyone’s DNA is different, so some people die sooner than others. Do the American people know the realities of DU coming into the USA? The answer is NO.  

Bush should leave the troops there, for the sake of all the dying Iraqis who will die from DU, and to protect the American people from being contaminated by 160,000 DU troop carriers coming into the country. In my book bringing them home is a Terrorist Act.  Iraq should be quarantined, and leaflets distributed telling the people they are dying from DU, and should stop fighting to help the world body find a way to help Iraq, or the entire Iraq population will die from this exposure.

Those Iraqis who are Sunni or Shiite, or whoever  are fighting each other are going to die from DU, so stop fighting and start helping each other find a way to solve this terrible situation.  Its hard to believe Alqaeda and Iran are fighting in Iraq; a State now highly contaminated with DU Depleted Uranium radiation poisoning. What are they fighting for? A radioactive State that they have no idea in how to clean up? And American troops are in the thick of it. They are going to die right along with rest of the people in the region, unless they stop fighting and work together to stop the spread of the poisoning and work on cleaning it up. 

Iran should be told this, and I am sure Iran will not be going into Iraq, to infect their people and soldiers. I am telling the truth about DU. It doesn't go away. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT? It stays with us for 4.3 billion years. I don't want US Troops coming home to contaminate our communties.

I don't want my daughter going to school when I know her girlfriends Daddy just came home from DU Iraq, giving hugs and kisses to his darling, to have my daughter playing with her, knowing she could come down with DU. Stopping terror begins right at home. KEEP THE TROOPS IN IRAQ!

Since October of 2001, the United States military has used approximately 3,000 tons of depleted uranium munitions against people in Afghanistan and Iraq. This will soon cause the serious health problems to include respiratory disease, kidney problems, rashes, birth defects, and the number of cancers of those people to jump to over 500,000 people each year. How do I know this?

Because the United States military used 375 tons of depleted uranium munitions against Iraq in 1991 and the cancer rate in children measured in Iraqi hospitals rose from 32,000 per year in 1990 to 130,000 in 1997. According to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs official reports, U.S. casualties from Gulf War 1 now exceed 180,000 and already over 30,000 are now disabled from Gulf War 2. We've now used eight times what we did in 1991 and radiation has long been known to cause cancer. This is well known by our federal government. 

The problem is only now starting to be realized, as thousands of US Vets are dying not from insurgents’bombs but from our own DU deeds in Iraq. Iraqi water is contaminated; the places where they grow food are contaminated, while everywhere and everything is contaminated. The people are suffering and more and more are dying over there. In fact it is becoming a national crisis, because who is going to help the people with the medical costs?  We can't even care for our own veterans.

{How much depleted uranium has been showered on coalition troops and the people of Afghanistan and Iraq? The sketchy figures the Pentagon has released are not reliable-official figures from Iraq soon after the invasion in 2003 add up to about 300 tons, and the Pentagon claims it hasn’t used DU munitions since then despite much evidence to the contrary. Expert’s estimates vary widely, but ranges up to 1,000 tons for Afghanistan and up to more than 3,000 tons for Iraq. 

The GWV (Gulf War Vet) cohort that is more appropriate to study to determine the effects of inhaled uranium oxide are the 697,000 American military personnel deployed in 1991 to Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. According to the official Gulf War Veterans Briefing, the total causality count for the 100-hour war was 760: 294 dead and approximately 400 wounded or ill. In the decade following the war 30,000 Gulf War Veterans are dead and 221,000 are receiving medical disability benefits for war related causes (May 2002 GWV Report).

Neither the VA nor DOD has provided clear research needed to answer the basic question: what part did depleted uranium play in causing death and illness among more than 30% of Gulf War veterans? Basic epidemiological studies such as identifying cause of death as recorded on death certificates have not been reported in the literature.

Depleted uranium contamination causes virtually every known illness from acute skin rashes, severe headaches, muscle and joint pain, and general fatigue, to major birth defects, infection, depression, cardiovascular disease, brain tumors, and every other type of cancer. Uranium replaces calcium, destroying teeth and bones.} 

This war was a lie from the beginning, to becoming an occupation, and now is turning into a regional medical hospice operation in which special teams will need to go to Iraq, to decontaminate, and work to help those suffering from DU. That is if they can decontaminate.

Technical reports say chemical gear such as gas masks, do no good, nor does protective clothing. And how does anyone cleanup the radioactive rivers? Children are playing with DU casings, and expended tips. 

In fact I think the entire country will die off from DU, along with the 160,000 troops who are already over there. Take note the Politicians who have gone to Iraq to include McCain, Hillary, Bush, Cheney, and others are serious potential victims themselves of DU without them knowing it.

DU is deadly, and it will literally eat a person to death inside.  They breathe the air over there; they are able to contract DU. Even taking showers will contaminate victims, along with eating, or being outside where wind blows up dust.

We are talking about a serious crisis. Shake hands with a Sheik, you can become contaminated. It can get into your eyes, nose, mouth, head hair, your body hair, your groin, your nails, your ears, and even your armpits.  {According to

WHY NEUTRONS ARE ESPECIALLY HARMFUL TO LIVING TISSUES

1. Neutrons are uncharged particles, thus atomic nuclei do not repel them. A neutron has mass but no electrical charge. When freed they make an extremely lethal form of radiation. The probability that a neutron [fast neutron] with an initial energy of about 1 MEV [million electron volts] will induce fission is rather low, but can be increased by a factor of hundreds when the neutron is slowed down through a series of elastic collisions with light nuclei such as hydrogen, deuterium, or carbon. Depleted Uranium, Time-Release Poison

The initial 320 tons is still there. Depleted uranium has a half-life of 4.5 billion years. Some of the radioactive particles are as small as bacteria. They cannot be filtered so they permeate the air, water, soil, vegetation, and animal life. Our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan are inhaling and ingesting them every day. You really think I want Bush touching my baby for photo Ops, or any politician who has been to Iraq? You think I want McCain, or Hillary rubbing elbows with me. Believe me you don't. They are potential carriers of this disastrous cover-up on DU. 

Our ANSWER Coalition needs to think about what is the answer here. Do we really want those troops coming back to contaminate people living in the USA? Oh you think burning the clothes will stop it? Well the smoke from the clothes burning goes into the air later gets into the water and we still have it.

Bush was warned to not go into this war, to bring the troops home. Even the British and Japanese were smart enough and have left, except the US. Has anyone told any of the other coalition forces what they are bringing home to their countries? NO! 

Now Bush is considering bringing home his troop surge forces? Really Mr. Bush we don’t want them to come back. We didn’t ask them to go, and now we don’t want them back, when they are going to cause our communities to suffer from the effects of DU. No they need to stay in Iraq, and do what they can to help the people who are suffering from this horrible crime to humanity.

In fact I think you should be on a plane to Iraq and never think about coming back. You want your Oil, you go get it, and stay there.

In all reality this will be implemented and enforced by Homeland Security to protect the American people from Bush and his radioactive crime. The US Patriot Act should also be used to stop Bush.

Accordingly: The Patriot Act says: Americans against Bush have the law and resources to use against Bush and his plan to bring back DU troops who are really walking time-bombs to America’s community.

SEC.101. <> COUNTERTERRORISM FUND.

(a) Establishment; Availability.--There is hereby established in the Treasury of the United States a separate fund to be known as the Counterterrorism Fund'', amounts in which shall remain available Without fiscal year limitation(1) To reimburse any Department of Justice component for any costs incurred in connection with--

(A) Reestablishing the operational capability of an office or facility that has been damaged or destroyed as the result of any domestic or international terrorism incident;

(B) Providing support to counter, investigate,or Prosecute  domestic or international terrorism,Including, without limitation, paying rewards in Connection with these activities; and

(C) Conducting terrorism threat assessments of Federal agencies and their facilities; and

(2) To reimburse any department or agency of the Federal Government for any costs incurred in connection with detaining in foreign countries individuals accused of acts of terrorism that violates the laws of the United States.

b) Sense of Congress- It is the sense of Congress that

(1) The civil rights and civil liberties of all Americans, including Arab Americans, Muslim Americans, and Americans from South Asia must be protected, and that every effort must be taken to preserve their safty.

2) Any acts of violence or discrimination against Americans will be condemned; and

3) The Nation is called upon to recognize the patriotism of fellow citizens from all ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds.

This stuff is worse than an atomic bomb, because it kills slowly. Myself I think the entire region of Iraq should be quarantined, and troops left there to never come back.  

If they come back we are in for the same bad affects. I am sorry to be the messenger of this news to everyone...but this is all for US a real serious issue. Perhaps this is why Bush has been toeing the line to keep troops in Iraq; buying time to see what they can do.

This is entirely different than the Atomic Bomb hitting Japan. In fact it is quite worse. We didn’t have soldiers in Japan when that went off, to become carriers of DU poisoning.

This means that many of them will have it in their semen and genetic damage and birth defects will start to skyrocket here at home. This is a Pandora's Box that is still open. In the meantime they lie about DU being a problem, and they shut up doctors who work with Vets who are already home. They know if they bring all the troops home we are in for some serious ill health to our nation.

The word has to get out to the media to warn everyone, and if this does not bring impeachment, I think we don't have to worry because those miserable liars are going to die anyway because of the exposure they got when they visited Iraq.

Help get the word out about this looming crisis of DU Depleted Uranium poisoning. And keep the troops in Iraq. 

I realize this goes against the main ideologue in bringing the troops home especially from a Democratic point of view. But do you think Nancy Pelosi, or Harry Reid has really thought about the real implications to this?
