Let no one say Kurds are dead; Kurds Are Living

By Martin Zehr

To the Kurdish nation, a new sense of shared sacrifice. To Kurdistan, a determination to never allow the next generation to be forced to endure such a sight again. To the world an irrefutable historical document announcing the message of Kurdistan.

::::::::

There are NO words that can justify the atrocity against the Yazidis, just as there were NO words that could ever have justified the gassing at Halabja. There is no excuse for jihad by Iran. There are no lies that can ever bury the dead deep enough to salve the Turkish soul.
Justice for Kurdistan means independence. Freedom for Kurds means no longer being forced to withstand the oppression of a sectarian dominated entity once known as Iraq. Liberty for the Kurdish nation means not having to endure the iron boot of Turkish militarism. Liberation means being free to establish self-government without interference from other nations. Who amongst you would force a family member to endure such tragedy in one lifetime? Who amongst you would turn your back to such oppression? How much more will the Kurdish people be forced to endure?

What is the measure for a people who have endured so much pain in one generation? When is enough, enough? There comes a point in the course of humanity when one circumstance personifies the tragedy of an epoch. The solution lies not in the wailing of women, but in the determination of all humanity. To the Peshmarga, there is a new sense of purpose. To the Kurdish nation, a new sense of shared sacrifice. To Kurdistan, a determination to never allow the next generation to be forced to endure such a sight again. To the world an irrefutable historical document announcing the message of Kurdistan.

Hey enemy, the Kurdish nation is alive with its language
Can not be defeated by the weapons of any time
Let no one say Kurds are dead
Kurds are living
Kurds are living, their flag will never fall
