Bush has been losing control over his allies in the war on terrorism as Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf and Afghan President Hamid Karzai have again started trading charges over responsibility for the strengthen of Talibanisation in the region.

The USA's lack of sincerity and the non-existence of proper planning to defeat terrorism and Talibanisation both in Pakistan and Afghanistan have now begun to show results as both the allies of the United States in the war on terrorism have become desperate. Close friends of US President Bush General Pervez Musharraf and Hamid Karzai have started accusing each for the success of the Taliban in Afghanistan.

The success ofthe  Taliban and terrorists have also badly affecting the tribal areas situated on the Pak-Afghan border as the terrorists have taken these areas as their base camp for carrying out terrorist activities in the world.

Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf, in an interview carried by most of the Pakistani newspapers, accused the Afghan government of “doing nothing to fight terrorism” and said that it is ‘losing the war’ against the Taliban.

“Those who do nothing against terrorism, like (Afghan President Hamid) Karzai, are also the ones who criticise those who are fighting, like us,” Gen Musharraf told Spanish daily El Pais. He denied accusations of President Karzai that Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden and Taliban leader Mulla Mohammad Omar were in Pakistan, saying the two men were ‘probably’ holed up in Afghanistan.

“Those who say that the ISI helps the Taliban because we want a weak Afghanistan are liars,” President Musharraf said. “They say these things to hide their shame because they are losing the war against the Taliban,” he said. Gen Musharraf and Mr Karzai are scheduled to meet in Turkey next week.

President Musharraf said any attack by the US on Iran would fuel sectarian tension in Pakistan. “There would be an effect on Pakistan as well, with implications for religious sectarianism, from any operation against Shias in Iran, which Sunnis would suffer just as much,” he said.

“Most Pakistanis are anti-American, and that feeling would grow,” he said Addressing the students of Cardoba University, he called for early launching of dialogue among different civilisations and religions.

President Musharraf said he expects to be re-elected by the current assemblies ahead of general elections which he saw taking place in November, according to an interview with a Bosnian newspaper that will be published on Friday. “Elections in Pakistan will be held, I think, in November,” said the general.

According to the people of tribal areas the US administration should change policy about the war on terrorism in Afghanistan and Pakistan. They said that till now thousands of people mostly belonging to the tribal areas have been killed in the war against terrorism, but still Taliban and terrorists are strengthening their positions.

They said that success in the war on terrorism is a must as this is the last chance of saving the world from total catastrophe.

The tribal elders and maliks suggested that the US administration should not rely on the information provided by Pakistan or Afghanistan. The US should have a system of confirmation of information from third source. The US must have another source also.
