How many times has O'Reilly lied, distorted, attacked rape victims, gays, Mexicans, women, hurricane victims, child rape victims, slandered political opponents, and in some cases actually called for the deaths of named political enemies? Mediamatters.org has collected SEVEN HUNDRED AND NINTY SEVEN instances, word for word, all documented.

A very small sampling of Bill O’Reilly’s statements:
February 6, 2003
"We'd save lives
because Mexican wetbacks, whatever you want to call them, the coyotes--they're not going to do what they're doing now, all right, so people aren't going to die in the desert."
April 2003
At a fundraiser for Best Friends, commenting on the evening’s entertainment, a black vocal group called “The best men”:
"Does anyone know where the Best Men are? I hope they're not in the parking lot stealing our hubcaps."
(11/02) interview for Stuff magazine:
"the most unattractive women in the world are probably in the Muslim countries."
(2/9/00) reagrding black athletes suing over the minimum academic standards for college admission:
"Look, you know as well as I do most of these kids come out and they can't speak English."
(5/6/02) Regarding blacks and Islam:
"I've been to Africa three times. All right? You can't bring Western reasoning into the culture. The same way you can't bring it into fundamental Islam"
Collected From Media matters:
April 6 2007 commenting on Virginia Beach' female Mayor, Meyera Oberndorf:
"she should be baking pies, not running a major city."
April 2 2007 Nancy Soderberg, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, stated that "the Arab Sunnis are uniting against Iran", O’Reilly responded with:
"Well, I'd like to see that fight with us out of it. That's what I'd like to see. I want -- let them kill each other."
December 5, 2006
“Do I care if the Sunnis and Shiites kill each other in Iraq? No. I don't care.”
February 28 2007 commenting on ABC News and CBS News:
"women were treated better than men …they had a little cabal; and they intimidated the men in the organization and said, 'If you look at me cross-eyed, I'm gonna bring you up to Human Resources and destroy your life.'….every man in the place was terrified of them…….in a lot of places, women have formed cabals to terrorize the men because they take advantage of, 'Oh, we're downtrodden. You're kicking us in the teeth.'….in every country I’ve ever been to, women are treated worse [than] in the United States. ... Guys are gonna put their hands on you in that society in Italy, in Spain……So, all of this whining about American women -- 'We don't have this; we don't have that' -- to me, I'm not real sympathetic.”
June 21, 2004 comments to author Lis Wiehl:
"You're here because you're good-looking, so I got somebody to look over."
January 15 2007 comments on then 11 and now 15-year-old kidnapping and multiple rape victim Shawn Hornbeck:
"there was an element here that this kid [Hornbeck] liked about his circumstances, …..The situation here for this kid looks to me to be a lot more fun than what he had under his old parents. He didn't have to go to school. He could run around and do whatever he wanted.”
January 16 2007 further comments on then 11 and now 15-year-old kidnapping and multiple rape victim Shawn Hornbeck:
"I hope he did not make a conscious decision to accept his captivity because his alleged kidnapper made things easy for him. No school, play all day long."
January 16 2007 comments in response to angry viewer demands for an apology regarding then 11 and now 15-year-old kidnapping and multiple rape victim Shawn Hornbeck:
"No question this monster Devlin made threats and intimidated Shawn. But teenagers have brains and Shawn had the freedom to get away if he wanted to."
December 19 2006 comments on the holidays:
"There is only -- there's really only one symbol, and that's the menorah. There's no Kwanzaa symbol. Maybe -- is there a 50 Cent that we have to put up or something? Is there a Kwanzaa symbol? What is that? It's a candelabra like Liberace had? All right." (Note there IS a Kwanzaa symbol)
December 19 2006 commenting on Christmas trees:
“here's something that Rasmussen didn't poll but I know, that most women who like artificial trees have artificial breasts."
December 5 2006: comment justifying killing millions of people for their oil:
“The United States will never be conquered by Muslims -- ever. But you don't want it to reach the point where, we have to, example, you know, level cities like Tehran, kill hundreds of thousands of people, which we may have to do -- which we have already done in Germany and Japan. OK? We have already killed hundreds of thousands of people on one day. Now, do we want to do that again? Of course not, but we may have to. Example: If Iran takes over Iraq and then fosters a revolution inside Saudi Arabia, which Iran wants to do, and overthrows that kingdom and gets control of all the oil and says we're not selling to the USA, we are going to level that country, because you, [caller], need gasoline to live.”
October 11 2006: Comments on abortion:
“South Dakota, as you know, has voted to outlaw abortions unless the mother's life is in danger, which is never the case, because you can always have a C-section and do those kinds of things.”
August 2 2006: Comments on rape/murder victim:
“Now Moore, Jennifer Moore, 18, on her way to college. She was 5-foot-2, 105 pounds, wearing a miniskirt and a halter top with a bare midriff. Now, again, there you go. So every predator in the world is gonna pick that up at two in the morning.”
August 2 2006: commenting on media coverage of Mel Gibson’s drunken anti-Semitic tirade:
“I hesitate to do yet another story on Mel Gibson. I mean, the guy's been pounded into pudding. But Geraldo does have some thoughts. And here's the star of the syndicated program Geraldo at Large.
I think it's sadistic now. I think it's crossed the line. I should mention the networks, but I'm not going to do it tonight. There are certain people who, you know, know they can get a number just beating the living daylights out of this guy. I think the points have been made. And it's into the sadistic area.”
July 18th 2006: Comments on “Liberal Jews”
“You got a lot of Jewish liberals, a lot of Jewish far-left people, who basically feel that, you know, you don't have a right to go after terrorists because it's our fault, the United States' fault. And some say it's Israel's fault because we've been mean to them, therefore they have a right to do whatever they want -- behead people on camera, all this terrible stuff.”
July 12 2006: Comments on ethanol-fueled vehicles in Brazil:
“All, they have ethanol for all of their automobiles. Brazil. I mean, they still have people in Brazil running around with their little darts, hitting you in the head with the poisoned darts, with the loincloths. They still have 'em down there. And they're driving an ethanol vehicle. After they hit you with the poisoned dart, OK, they get into their ethanol vehicle and drive back into the Amazon to do whatever they do there. Eat tapioca, whatever.”
May 8 2006: Comments on a California bill that would require textbooks to recognize the accomplishments of historical lesbian, gay, and bisexuals:
“Well -- and also, if you are a teacher, what are you -- you're not going to be able to say bad things about Jeffrey Dahmer? He's a cannibal, a gay cannibal, and you can't say, "Well, that's wrong." I mean, if what you're saying is true, teachers would not be able to cast aspersions on even villains if they were homosexual.”
May 1 2006: Comments on George Clooney alleging his concern is only because victims are black:
“On the peace front, most of those demonstrators believe the USA is a flawed country and so is Israel, and it's our fault there's terrorism in the world. On Darfur, the intentions are better, but there's a hard left base here as well. It may have something to do with color. Surely the Marsh Arabs in Iraq slaughtered by Saddam did not get George Clooney's attention.”
January 2 2006: Comments on Philanthropist George Sorros:
“Where does George Soros have all his money? Do you know? Do you know where George Soros, the big left-wing loon who's financing all these smear [web]sites, do you know where his money is? Curaçao. Curaçao. They ought to hang this Soros guy.”
November 8 2005: Comments on San Francisco:
“And if Al Qaeda comes in here and blows you up, we're not going to do anything about it. We're going to say, look, every other place in America is off limits to you, except San Francisco. You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead.”
September 13 2005: Commenting on Hurricane Katrina victims:
"Many, many, many of the poor in New Orleans are in that condition. They weren't going to leave no matter what you did. They were drug-addicted. They weren't going to get turned off from their source. They were thugs, whatever."
What does O’Reilly say about the web site (
http://mediamatters.org ) which accurately records and archives his own words?
October 21 2005: Transcript from The Radio Factor:
CALLER: But the point that I want to make today is, you've been talking a lot about far-left smearing websites. I actually went to one of those websites a couple of days ago. They have your audio, they have your video. And I'm kind of surprised that you're still challenging them on their material. So why don't you invite them, like Media Matters, to your show and debate the issues?
O'REILLY: OK. Number one, [caller], you're a dishonest person. Because you're not a big fan of mine. You're not anything, OK? What you are is one of these little Kool-Aid-drinking, left-wing idiots who calls up and under the guise of "Hey, you know, Bill, I like you, I listen to The Factor" -- yeah, yeah, yeah. You're a liar. You want me to legitimize a website that is 100 percent dishonest, that takes things out of context, that feeds them to fanatical people like Macarena Hernandez, which is where she got her garbage. You want me to put them on and legitimize them. All right? Give them notoriety and all of that. See, look, I know your game. You're a weasel, and you're in with other weasels. You're exactly where you should be. Those people will never, ever -- I don't deal with dishonest people. Don't call here again.
Don Imus was fired almost immediately by MSNBC and CBS radio because his statements did not reflect the values of the networks.
Why hasn’t Bill O’Reilly been fired from Fox News?
Because he represents the values of Fox News perfectly; there is no conflict of "values".
Unlike Don Imus, who’s radio show reached only half a million viewers on MSNBC, and which was on in the wee hours of the morning as network “filler”, Bill O’Reilly’s “The Factor” is the center piece of Fox News, their top rated program. And despite numerous calls for his termination by victims right’s advocates and women’s groups for his blatant, repeated blaming of rape victims for their rape, accusations that a CHILD of 11 found his abduction and 4 years of forcible sodomy by a child predator “fun”, Bill O’Reilly remains at Fox “News”.
Fox News daily decisions after not a few, but hundreds and hundreds of outrageous slurs against blacks, gays, Muslims, women, even rape victims who are children, and calls for the death of named individuals with whom O’Reilly disagrees, clearly demonstrate that Fox News itself is nothing less than a hate network from top to bottom. O'Reilly makes Don Imus look like a choir boy. But Fox News will never fire O’Reilly, no matter what he says or even does. His obscene phone calls sexually harassing a female co-worker followed by threats to “destroy her” if she reported him, should have been more than enough for any legitimate news organization with something resembling a moral compass to act. That was over two years ago and O’Reilly’s vicious contempt for blacks, gays, Mexicans, women, and even child rape victims continue on a daily basis. O'Reilly accurately represents the "values" of Fox News. He also accurately represents the "values" of Fox' audience. O'Reilly will never be removed from the airwaves with any cooperation by either the network, or his followers. They will scream and fight every step of the way because they are exactly what he is. They should not be indulged, nor should their protests receive consideration.

Bill O’Reilly is a piece of human shit. He’s a liar, a racist, a homophobe, a misogynist, and worse. He is a destroyer of our way of life, of a free society. He is a cancer on this country and probably the most dangerous single ideologue of the last 60 years. Democrats in Congress may not be able to remove him from Fox News (because it’s cable), but they could sure as hell present the record of his words on air and force the FCC have his radio show removed from the public airwaves. They should do it now, it's time. He is public enemy number one with a soap box.
