Open letter to Robert Gates

By Robert Chapman

Open letter to US Defense Secretary Gates regarding his denunciation of non-binding Senate Resolution censuring the Surge in US troop strength in Iraq.

::::::::

Secretary Gates: I am willing to be classed as unpatriotic for the next remark, a response to your asinine and offensive remark that the anti-surge resolution being debated in the Senate. Mr. Secretary the Armed Forces of the United States invaded Iraq, not the other way around. We invaded them in accordance with an immoral pre-emptive war strategy that we misapplied. If Senate debate or anything else an American citizen does encourages the Iraqis belief that the military holocaust we have unleashed upon them is coming to end, all I can say is BRING IT ON!!!!!! Mr. Secretary, your remark regarding the Senate debate is inappropriate and yet another example of the Administration's continuing diminution of America's heritage of freedom and courage.
